ASA iPad Mini Kneeboard - ASA-KB-IPM-1

Not just an iPad cover and leg strap, but also a place to put a pen and stash a pad of paper in the inside flap. The only thing preventing me from giving it 5 stars is that it lacks a little bean-bag lift at the top and rear, like other iPad mini kneeboards, to cause the iPad mini to tilt towards your eyes more. Your leg is going to naturally tilt downwards and away, making the iPad less readable at the angle, and a soft spacer really helps to compensate for that. Looking into gluing something like that to this Kneeboard!

The asa ipad mini kneeboard is made of top quality leather that is soft to the toutch and will nicly protect the front face of the ipad. the cut out for the ipad is a little miss shapen. The ipad likes to tilt down and to the left corner, a few small rolled peices of paper solved this problem. Over all this is a nice case and feels like it will hold up for a few years. I think that for the $40 price tag ASA could have worked a little harder on the cutout.

The case works great for me. It would be even better with a clip on the front. I still like to write down ATIS and clearances. I rigged the front with a medium office clip holding a small pad of paper. I also wish the pen holder was vertical instead of horizontal when using as a kneeboard.

I like the design but it doesn't fit a mini 4 very well. I'm going to cut the ipad part out and glue in a $9 plastic ipad mini 4 case that will hold it firm. The biggest problem is the large leather edges of the current holder block parts of the screen and the home button

Received my order very quickly, the product was just as advertised but I believe it will take a while for the leather to break in to where my ipad will sit properly so the home button is fully accessible

There is no screen protection so you will have to go out and get one. The strap is too long so unless you're an Olympic weight lifter you will have slack under the strap. There is no practical place to put a checklist. Right now I am wearing two, this AND my old one. I would keep looking.

This kneeboard provides the needed packaging to attach the mini for flight use. I have not yet confirmed whether or not the edge materials may block touch screen operations at the periphery, and this may be dependent upon the software being used....
