I didn’t know much about pro- and pre-biotics until I got married. My wife occasionally suffers from digestive issues and was taking probiotics when we first met, which led me to do some research. As it turns out (and as you likely know), probiotics are one of the best things you can put into your system. Since it's relatively new science, people are just starting to realize its importance, which is why we're seeing great products like this one.One of the best things about this supplement is the company behind it. When I saw the price for this 60-day supply, I went online to find out more, especially why they charge this amount for a probiotic. What I found was all positive and confidence-inspiring: it's made in a GMP- and FDA-Certified/Registered facility in the US, and their products are used by 25,000 doctors nationwide (according to their website). They even have products available on FullScript! Even better, their Chief Medical Officer, Dr. David Bragg, has been in medicine for decades, including serving as Medical Director at Baylor Scott & White. While the company is young, their products, the CMO’s resume, and their recognition speak for themselves.That being said, I can’t speak to any significant changes I've noticed personally, as there haven’t been any yet. I’ve been taking it for a few weeks, and I think my digestive system is already running pretty well, but I will say it certainly hasn’t hurt. Everything has stayed regular and I’m feeling good overall.Finally, I love the packaging with the wide-mouth, short container. These are so, so much more convenient to get capsules out of.I’ll definitely update this review if I notice any changes or improvements after taking the rest of the capsules. Given the company behind this and what Akkermansia can do for the human body, I highly recommend it!

Akkermansia is the latest up and coming supplement being touted for weight loss and gut health. I have had life long gut issues, so I am willing to try almost anything to help long term. I did quite a bit of research on akkermansia and the general consensus is that you need as many of the "live" ones that you can get - and most products have NO live akkermansia bacteria. Hopefully this one has as many as it claims, as that would make this a great product at a reasonable price.Subtracted one star due to lack of 3rd party testing - the only real way to know if a supplement has the ingredients as claimed and has purity from contaminants.

Akkermansia is an interesting supplement. It's touted as a sort of a gut rosetta stone, possibly impacting all manner of maladies. It's hard to tell. You'd have to take it for years to know for sure, and even then, there are so many factors impacting health and the gut that it'd be somewhat impossible to say a supplement provided the silver bullet.But I like what I read about akkermansia. I'll probably buy another product that contains it, as this one is rather expensive. But quality seems to be top notch with this one. Capsules are standard size, no odor, no acid reflux, easy to swallow.

I don't think my problem was necessarily my gut bacteria as I took this consistently and had no noticeable results. However my diet is not the best and so maybe it didn't proliferate because of that.

I can't say I noticed any results after taking this supplement for 3 weeks.

I ordered these capsules because I have been hearing great things about this brand and wanted to give them a shot. I am prediabetic so I was very curious as to what this could help to do to regulate my blood sugar and was pleasantly surprised at the energy boost I received taking these capsules. Only downfall is you need PLENTY of water behind these capsules or else you may find yourself being constipated. Overall, very pleased with these capsules and I plan on continuing to order.

No off putting smell or taste, but I'm not sure these did not come back to haunt me. I will have to come back to these to see if my issues were directly related or some other change in my diet. You have to decide if these fit in your supplement regimen. I'm dropping them out of mine to see if my gut function swings back to "normal" for me, which is still not great.

This product was interesting to me because after some research, what I found was that it contains important gut bacteria that many are missing, specifically many chronically ill and terminal patients are missing. Now I'm not a doctor or a scientist, and I don't even suspect causality there, but if there is a correlation between missing this bacteria and serious health conditions, I feel like its better to have it than not. So I got some.
