Best skateboard for Any age! Iam 40 yrs old and i love cruising
Okay first I did a lot of research on the electric skateboards I am 5'5 260 pounds and I was really scared I might break one of these things since its very expensive I saw the E go board and they had the best reviews so I took my chances let me tell you best skateboard in the market out there not only that a hold my weight but went fast and it was easy on easy off and I had a blast just cruising . I Did 10 miles with no problems whatsoever if your big guy I promise you this will be the last and only board you're ever need!!! Ok the only reason i gave it a 3 star is because Customer Service is a nightmare they never answered the phone or if there get back to you if they do will take forever you always get an answering machine I called them because my battery charger is not working and needs to be replace and yet no word and is still under warranty I'm still waiting for the phone call or email back

I love this board
I've been watching the Electric skateboard scene for a couple of years now, waiting for the right gear and price point to get into it. This is it! I love this board, it has power, longevity, and style. What more could you want?Pros:The battery: This board is lightweight and slimline. Its discreet and looks really good. Almost every other electric skateboard I've seen has this huge clunky battery pack hanging off the bottom of it.The battery life/range: The board is advertised at 18 miles. I don't know the exact range of it from my experience, I just know that every day I've taken it out to have fun, I've never once had to worry about how much battery it has left.Style: It looks good, really good. Nice design, the electric systems and the board are well integrated, nothing on this board looks clunky. The board advertises itself as being weatherproof, so I'm not worried if I run through some sprinklers with it.Cons:This doesn't bother me personally, but the top speed of the board is around 13mph. There are some enthusiast electric skateboards that can go 20mph+ (but these also cost >3x as much). Personally, I find 13mph plenty fast, and falling off the board at this speed would be scary, but mostly recoverable. Falling off a board at 20mph+, from what I can imagine, is not something I would like to contemplate, not fun, not good. Having said this, the boards acceleration is good, so you can hit the top speed quickly, and it certainly makes you feel in control. One other bad thing is, it gets alot of attention from passers by. You will get lots of random people asking you questions about it when they see it :)I use it for commuting and family fun, but I don't do tricks on it or take it to the skate park.Bottom line: electric skateboards just went mainstream: and it starts here. Its a lot of fun.

Can't depend on it
I've had the E-GO for a little over a year. It has been great for commuting. However, in that time, I had to send it back twice in warranty, because the electronics failed and it got into a mode where it wouldn't turn off. After the first repair, it would cut out randomly, so I had to send it back again. The next failure was when the rear axle broke. I'm a very conservative, gentle rider, so this was not due to abuse. The rear axle can't be replaced, and it was out of warranty (past 6 months), so I had to buy a whole motor. The designer must have skipped class on the "Design for Maintainability" class, because the connector to the motor was not keyed! (I've never seen this.) This turned a half-hour job into a whole evening for replacing the motor. This morning, I went to turn on the board, and nothing happened. It was completely dead, even though it had just been charged. Since I depend on it for commuting, this is very disruptive, and I'm done. I just went online and bought my Boosted board. I see those all the time on the train, and the owners never complain about sending them back multiple times. I have to say, though, the Yuneec support department gets 5 stars - they are excellent. Too bad the board itself is not up to their standards.

ONE YEAR WITH THE E-GO BOARD..
I have had this for over a year so I feel like I will have a pretty good opinion for some people. Let's get speed out of the way, yes it does reach the 18mph like advertised and in some cases even 19-20. The brakes aren't the best but they certainly aren't the worst. The wheels are really nice and tough, i've gone over hundreds of thousands of big bumps and of course there's small cracks in my wheels from those but they still work perfectly fine. The battery life is pretty standard and is good from what i've experienced. It lasts me going to the gym on it, then to walmart, target, then home and then I still have battery left. That trip is probably a little over 5.2 miles so that's pretty much all I need. I've also ridden it to the beach which is 6.3 miles there, and I think I made it back as well. I probably ended up charging it though just to be sure.CONSThe battery on the bottom started coming off do to bolts breaking and not being able to be fixed, but my grandpa had a solution and did end up fixing it for me. It probably was my fault considering I always drop it on the ground before I get on it. I have since stopped doing that.\The Belt that spins the gears and the wheel in the motor has been stripped down almost completely after over a year of use. But everything else is still going, I had to order the belt from a different website called " EZ Drone ", since the EGO Board website didn't have their own belt in stock.. As you can see in the picture of the belt, the part that says " stripped " and has a white circle is a straight line on the belt, there's no ridges for the gear to bite into and spin, as in the orange circle that says " Not stripped " does have ridges to bite into. The last con is something that might have just come across with my specific one, but every few weeks or less I have to tighten all of the bolts that keep the motor from coming loose. It's not a huge deal considering how easy it is and even if you don't tighten them it isn't going to come off. It just becomes a little loose.Other than that it's a pretty solid bored made for riding to the store, a friend's house or the gym or work. I use it for all of the above. I do recommend this over a $1300 Boosted board unless you'd rather spend extra for a few better features.
