Card Reader for Legacy Media
Product Reviewed: Card Reader for SD,TF,CF,XD,MS Cards for $20TL;DR; XD transfer tested; Good for a variety of cardsI needed a card reader for a legacy XD card but this is good for a variety of formats. I used mine on a linux computer and the usual file system appeared in my file browser. It will probably sit in a drawer now awaiting the next legacy bit of media. One thing it doesn’t have is a micro SD card slot but that’s not an issue with a micro-SD to SD card adapter. No complaints but I have not tested this with anything other than the USB configuration.4.5 starsHow I review:Reviews start with 5 stars and I subtract points.- 0 for value but I try to provide guidance-0.5 to -3 for product not matching description e.g. stainless steel is actually plated steel-0.5 to -3 for product missing badly on executionI select products carefully so low (1-3 scores) are rare but detailed comments and critiques almost always are in the review. Most of my reviews come out 4-5 range. If possible I dismantle or destroy items to examine inner workings.

This has definitely been a great help.

Okay
Not really sure how to get it to work, instructions were sorta unclear, but I think other than that if you can get it to work it would be super cool and ideal to have.

Convenient & Handy
This card reader is a must-have for anyone who is look in for a way to read multiple cards. Transfers files quickly and works with multiple card types. It is very easy to figure out how to use it - you just hook it up and go from there. It’s nice that it can connect to a phone or a usb and it has an iPhone connector as well.

Worked twice then quit
UPDATE: The third time I used this my iPhone 15 Pro Max failed to recognize it was connected no matter what I did. Tried using on my Mac, which should recognize it as a card reader. Nada. Revised rating from 3 Stars to 1.Original Review:I got this to quickly review the SD cards from my trail cameras. Fairly simple plug and play operation with several different USB connectors built in. There were no instructions included so I'm not entirely sure if there is a corresponding app or which app to use other than "photos" on the iPhone. I opened the Photos App and inserted an SD card, after a moment an option to "Import" appeared and I was able to review what was on the card and download the images I wanted to transfer. As for transferring data or images to a card - no idea on how to do this. As I said, no instructions and the card reader doesn't show up anywhere in the settings or as an export/storage option. It works for what I wanted it for, but doesn't seem to perform as advertised.

Handy card reader for travel
I got this one for an upcoming trip where there is no WiFi and no place to charge phone or camera other than solar. That said, I didn't want to run both the phone and camera at the same time. I tested this reader with iPhone through the Lightning plug and on Mac via USB-C. Works great. On iPhone, there is no popup, so you would have to go to Files, then browse and select Untitled (that's how this device appears). From there you can save your media to the phone.
