I am not the biggest fan of nail polish. While I love the look I can’t stand chipping, peeling, the feel of artificial nails as they grow out, thick feeling of gel, or powder nails & press ons pop off too easy. I originally bought this bc I saw a video where someone used polygel to adhere cheap press on nails & said they lasted for a couple of weeks. So I bought this as a base coat. I’ve never used a rubber base gel building coat before. I decided to try it on one nail to adhere a light colored press on nail. It worked. I put it on. Cured for 2 minutes. This nail felt stable but also incredibly thin. I hardly noticed it was on. I also was surprised at how nice the base coat looked by itself. So I wiped my nails with alcohol, painted 2 coats cured 60 seconds for each, wiped with alcohol. I could have stopped there but I wanted a shinier finish. I did not have a Iv gel top coat so I just used my favorite pink armor polish. I loved the results. I had no problems with drying or sticky feelings and the rubber base coat nails lasted 10 days before I noticed a tiny chip around the end of one and the back corner of another. I didn’t baby them, I cleaned house, scrubbed floors, weeded my flower beds. I’m a nail picker. I have a habit of just unconsciously running my thumb over the tops of my nails. If I feel anything uneven-I have to clean, buff or remove whatever it is whether it’s polish or just a buildup of protein on my nails. So I did pick some of the rubber base builder off. I know, not a good idea but surprisingly my nails looked just as healthy as ever, no lines, no thinness or tearing. The ones I did not pick off I painted a gel nail polish remover over and it slid off in about 30 seconds. I was so pleasantly surprised. The press on nail that I applied over the rubber base builder gel lasted 5 days. It came off while I was pulling weeds out of my rock garden. While I wish it would’ve lasted longer, it was a great alternative to nail glue. I don’t like the smell or the feel, especially if it gets on my skin or under the end of my nail. It did not leave any damage or marks or thinning behind. So if you just need nails for a short time for a special event, this definitely worked without a lot of commitment. I will definitely be using the rubber base goat builder & color combo as a more regular manicure option. It looked so nice, lasted, no long removal process and it didn’t annoy me like any other nail treatments. lol I still plan to try using this base coat and then polygel to apply press on nails, just because there are some really cute options available, much thinner and more natural feeling options now days, & if I can get a nail art result in the 60 seconds cure for the base coat and 2 min cure for the polygel with the fake nail- that’s still an incredibly short amount of time devoted to any nail process. That endeavor will definitely depend on how long they last and what removal is like and nail condition afterwards. I’m blessed to have healthy nails, that shine naturally and the tips are white enough it looks like a French manicure most of the time. It’s another reason that I really am not a regular polish wearing girl. But I see me using just these colored rubber base builder on a more regular basis when I want some color.

Love this rubber base set!!! It really has been a game changer for my manicures! I'm not really a "polish" kind of girl, but I love a good French or American Manicure. This set let's me so it myself at home. Since it's rubber base it is easy for me to use, as my hands shake quite a bit. It especially makes it easier for me to paint using my non-dominant hand. The different shades allow me to change up my bed color, and the shades are really beautiful enough to be worn alone. The price can't be beat, so I will definitely be buying this again. Can be dried in 60 secs under a uv/led lamp, and also works great as an under base to decorate on top of (as shown in my second picture) If acrylics and gels aren't really your thing, but you want the look of a finished manicure, this may just be for you.

It was my first time using builder gel, didnt know what to expect but my friend recommended it since we cant wear fake nails at work.I have tried normal gel. And sometimes it lifts and chips. Its thinner than this gel.I did 3 layers of this builder gel and loved the thickness and strength it gave my nails. Wore the gel for more than two weeks, it did not chip or lift! The colors are beautiful and very natural for work.

These are sooo good! The brush is easy to use, and the consistency of the rubber base is perfect. The colors are jelly but they are very pigmented and have good coverage. Also great for testing colors because they also offer full size bottles if you like the small ones!

This stuff is flat out amazing. I’ve been using this set and doing my own nails for the last few months and it’s incredible to see how healthy and long it’s kept my natural nails. I was getting tired of going to the nail salon every few weeks and paying so much to up keep my nails. I did press on nails for a while but they only last a week or less. I saw a girl on TikTok using builder gel and showed how long and healthy her natural nails were underneath. So I immediately went to Amazon and found this set, I liked the natural jelly colors. With the right prep and tools, your nails can look JUST like acrylics and last just as long! I’ve even had customers at work ask where I get my nails done.For me, acrylics would usually lift after a few weeks. These bad boys don’t lift AT ALL and they’re just as strong. I’m still learning so it does take me a few hours to drill off the gel color, prep and reapply the builder gel to fill my grow out. That’s the only thing, is the time and patience you need for this. But if you don’t mind saving money like I do, then this product is worth it! I would definitely purchase this product again and again.

I am a huge fan of GAOY. I own several sets, and many beautiful colors. I was a little unsure of the builder gel, I saw the mixed reviews…. Ignore them!! This stuff is great!! I don't care about the big Apex, I just want strong natural healthy looking nails, that I can apply all the gel polishes I want to, without damaging my own natural nails! This is it! I put two thin coats of clear, followed by one coat of neutral colored. Looks like completely natural nails, and strong as nails! Another big plus, is that the builder gel is not so thick, so that when you add polish, it looks like a rock sitting on top of your finger! I am sure you can achieve the Apex look with this, it wasn't what I was after. It was very easy to apply, not overly gloppy, for me the thickness was perfect. I have had no issues with my nails since.
