Insta Life acupressure pad

My 89 year old mother saw something virtually identical, apart from name, in her paper and as she suffers with back pain asked me to order one for her. I also get back pain so thought I'd have one too. Amazon price was less than half the newspaper item so was a good buy in that respect.Have worn it a few times but can't say I've had much, if any, relief.

I have had quite severe sciatic pains for the last couple of months - most painful in my hip and ankle particularly when I am walking my dog. The pain is worse during the late afternoon and evening when I am weight bearing. I received the Insta Life two days ago and have worn it twice during the afternoon dog walk and I am pleased that I bought it. It helps a great deal to eliminate the pain in my ankle but sadly it does not seem to help in regard to the hip pain. I would however recommend it as the ankle pain was the most difficult to tolerate.

Its just a neoprene strap with velcro fastening with what feels like a piece of plastic(about the size and shape of milk bottle screw cap) sewn into it for behind the knee.Bought for my mother as she was suffering some severe sciatic pain, at the moment she's only wearing it for 2 hours as advised to start off, but she's noticed it works and can stand for longer in the kitchen to make her tea and can walk a bit easier. Will continue to monitor.

Ordered this after reading the reviews and wanted an end to suffering with sciatica since February this year. Willing to try anything, tried accupunture and physio, helped for a while but pain never went away. Received this support on Thurs 2nd within 5 mins it was on my leg, I couldn't believe the instant relief that I felt as the pain in my left leg just ebbed away. The pain in my back and buttock was still there but not as much. After wearing for several days on and off, today I have no pain in my leg and back. I have to say it has been the best purchase I have made in a long time. If only I had purchased this last month for going on holiday with, I was in agony most of the time. Please try, for the price of this item it is well worth it, it is well made and is not too uncomfortable around your leg, it has to be tight for the compression pad to work.

A knee pad for back pain sounds ridiculous but I was desperate to try it. I have found definite relief and will be passing on the message to some friends who also suffer with back pain. Please note to follow the instruction diagram rather than the written advice to put it on the calf. Under the knee is on the shin, not the calf as stated. Probably why it hasn't worked for some people!

When I bought this, I was pretty desperate, I have arthritis in my hip, and it had got quite bad this year. The pain would run down my leg. I couldn't get comfortable at all. Once I put it on I did notice a difference within a few hours. Definitely less pain in my leg, my limping was less also. Sadly it cannot do much about my hip,but at least the pain does not travel down my leg so much

I got this for my elderly father who has tried all sorts of pain relief for his sciatica and sadly, this device has joined the failure scrap heap. His pain travels down one side only, from his hip to above his ankle so finding the spot to place it is problematic to start with. However, he persisted with it over 4-5 days, changing position and lengthening the wear time, then eventually gave it up as no use. Very disappointed in this as the reviews were mostly quite positive, and it's possible that his pain is too wide-spread for this device to be of help, but it may be worth keeping in mind that it might also not be possible to relieve sciatic pain with this device.
