I replaced a perferct imac 27\" for this monster along with a new laptop, I love mac hardware... not so much the OS. I was running Virtualbox / windows and it was great but things started to get a little slow. Honestly when I placed this screen in front of me I thought I had made a BIG mistake. Its massive. Did i say its big ? I spend hours a day writing code and screen real estate is an essentail part of getting things done quickly. So in a nutshell, I required a monitor I could daisy chain with a DP port. Sadly the cords that came with this, and due to my inability to order the correct thunderbolt 3 / usb-c additonal cables leave me unable to review how well that setup may work. The panel is fantastic, I am very happy with display quality. The less than 5 star review stems from the speakers. I swear my oneplus one phone is better sounding than the cardboard speakers in this .... Why ? If you need real estate this is pretty good. Poor old Imac which has one of the best panels I Have used still holds the candle But it looks pretty tiny now. Not going back !. Nice monitor for the price. I have used this monitor for about 2 weeks now and it seems to be working great. I run Fallout 4 and GTA V at ultra settings and I don't notice any blur or flickering. I followed some of the other reviews and used a Display Port cable vs. HDMI. I am using an RTX-2080Ti GPU so I am sure that helps with the quality of games. The 4K is awesome for games or watching videos. Setup and use was easy enough to accomplish. I don't do competitive FPS games so I don't notice that the response is 11ms vs 3-4 ms for high end monitors. The 60Hz refresh rate is fine as I mentioned I don't see any blur or flickering. I would imagine a higher refresh rate wouldn't look much different for my use. Now the things that could be improved or items to note before buying this monitor. The touchpad/joystick control on the back of the monitor is not the greatest. It is not intuitive and difficult to use. If you buy this monitor you will understand what I mean. You really have to spend some time figuring out the controls. I don't change the settings very often so once you have them set to your liking it doesn't really matter anyway. The speakers are pretty average for sound quality but I knew this before purchasing and use external speakers. It's BIG! I know it 's a 43\" monitor but until you set it up and turn it on you don't realize how big it really is. I sit an average distance from the monitor and it is a little difficult to see the edges completely. Not a complaint just a warning. It does make for really cool gaming though. I haven't tried the Viewsplit software yet but from what I have read as long as you are using Windows 10 it works pretty well. the software does not support MAC from what I have read. Overall if you are looking for a nice large monitor then this one works. If you are more concerned with refresh rate or response times then maybe this is not the one for you. The 4K is great and displays games flawlessly. See attached picture for the location of the mount holes.First its mount holes call for M4 screws and all the mount kits I know don't provide them. I bought them from hardware store. Secondly, the location of mount holes are 100x200 and 4 cm recess from the rest back portion. This requires that your mount plate on your wall kit must be smaller than the standard 200x200. I solved this problem by cutting the metal plate to the size.Hope this will help.Edit:I try to mount it to the wall but the mount holes need a 40 mm clearance that make most TV mount useless. Furthermore, the holes call for M4 screws which are pretty small and not provided by Viewsonic. None of my three TV mounts supplies M4.After used one day, I give a five star.Big screen size with sharp text, very good for office work. Color is pretty accurate with the driver installed, but not as rich as my Samsung. The adjustment controls are located in the back, difficult to reach (remember the screen is huge). Although there are some areas to be improved, it stands out in its price range. My Windows 10 could not automatically install the driver. I did it manually.The package is way bigger than expected, come fully assembled.
