Mucinex Instasoothe Sugar Free Cough Drops

As a lifelong connoisseur of cough drops (read: frequent victim of throat gremlins), I consider myself a bit of a lozenge sommelier. When I saw Mucinex had launched these Instasmooth bad boys, I knew I had to give them a try. Also, the word "Instasmooth" sounds like something a hip new app would promise your love life, so I was intrigued. First, the flavor: it's like a snowstorm and a breath mint got married and had a baby in your mouth. If you're looking for a subtle, gentle breeze of relief—keep walking. These things slap your throat with the power of 1,000 mentholated hammers. You don't ease into comfort, you're launched into it like a throat-coughing rocket to calm-town. And sugar-free? Yes! Finally, a drop that doesn’t turn my mouth into a sticky caramel crime scene. My dentist and pancreas both sent thank-you notes. Effectiveness? Listen, I went from sounding like a dying Victorian orphan to a professional podcast host in under 10 minutes. My coworkers were stunned. One asked if I’d been to a shaman. Nope—just Mucinex. Downsides? Well, the first time I tried one, I made the mistake of biting it. My sinuses were cleared, my ancestors were contacted, and I temporarily saw through time. But other than that, A+. Would I recommend? Only if you enjoy breathing, talking, and not sounding like a haunted accordion.

These really work. They helped me when I had a cold. My son has allergies and they help him when he's coughing also. Flavor is really good. Also I got it for a good deal.Would buy again.

Sugar-free (yay) and non-menthol which is nice if you find that annoying. One of the few cough drops that is specifically for cough and not sore throat. Pleasant flavor, more cherry than mixed berry but no big deal there. Works for me.

After I wrote a glowing review the price increased 20%, so I lowered the number of stars from 5 to 4. There are the best effective cough drops I have found because they are sugar free so preserve my teeth, and have real cough medicine Dextromethorphan HBr. They are mixed berry flavored and taste a little medicated so I also got sugar free Ludens Cherry cough drops (they're only pectin). Musinex for real cough relief claims 4hrs I'm not seeing that, and Ludens something delicious to sooth the throat. Most soft syrups have the same incredient Dextromethorphan HBr that's an alternative cough syrup and menthol or pectin cough drops. The original Ricola to me is the most delicious cough drop its no sugar free though,

Very good for when you have a sore throat

I had a cough I couldn't kick for 4 weeks, nothing would touch it!! But these were a game changer. Granted they taste absolutely horrible. But they controlled my cough!
