Everlast Everlast 40LB Heavy Bag

Had debated on cheaper punching bags (ie, half the cost), but ultimately went with this one because of brand recognition. So glad I did. The biggest pro is that it came fully stuffed and ready to hang. I already had installed a ceiling hook, so literally had to out of the box and ready to use in seconds. The shape was perfect out of the box, the material feels great, and it’s super sturdy.I don’t write reviews, though felt compelled in this case because it was soooo worth the extra money to get a great product with no setup hassles.

I am very pleased with this heavy bag. Delivered quickly, with all chains etc needed to hang. Good quality and fair price.For me (5ft 7, 125 lbs female) the 40 lb bag is suffice. For a bigger person or a stronger man, 70 lb bag would probably be preferable. Heavy bag hitting is an excellent work out- gets my heart rate up by far the highest compared to other exercises (e.g., stationary bike riding, work out routine with jumping jacks etc). I love it. Make sure you wear wraps under gloves when using! As the bag tends to move around a lot when used, I tethered it with a strap to a heavy block on the floor.

This is a great bag. I definitely recommend getting a pre-filled bag like this one. The fill is consistent and just the right stiffness. So far it seems to be extremely sturdy and I’ve really enjoyed pounding on it. The only thing I wish is that I’d gotten a heavier one. That’s on me and not a knock on the product. This 40 pounder would be great for kids and younger teens but it really gets to swinging with a few good punches from an adult.

Bought this for my 10 yr old grandson. Seems quite sturdy and he loves it. Time will tell how well it actually holds up in the Florida heat since it is hung outside on the covered patio!

My dad was recently diagnosed with Parkinson's. I set up the bag in his garage and have been training him with basic punches and footwork. It's just the beginning, but I've never seen him smile so much since his diagnosis and he also said it was a lot of fun! The 40 lb bag is perfect for him and my mom both in their mid-80s. The bag is of excellent quality, camed filled and I purchased "Yes4All Wood Beam Punching Bag Hanger" to hang the bag. I'm determined to train both my parents.Boxing has proven to be very effective for those suffering from Parkinson's. Google it and you'll find multiple articles on the benefit of boxing for balance, coordination, and more importantly mental health. I looked for many bags, and this $40 bag is well made for kids or elderlies. I'm planning on anchoring the bottom to keep it more stabilized as well. So far, the bag been the best medicine for my dad. Wish us luck!

Kick and Punch it all you like, the bag is just the right hardness to endure the force of an adult doing martial arts or boxing. I hung it in a grapefruit tree and it has held up great even through heavy Florida rains. It is short, so I can kick it and punch it, but will not be able to simulate punching above my chest unless I hang it higher, in which case it would be too high for my kid to kick it.

I love it, just hang it up and start punching it!

I don't have a lot of patience in exercising - I just don't. I like boxing because it is very high intensity and a very short time Im breathing heavily and can move on. This bag is lighter than what I had in the past and it can really get swinging. I have a feeling I will never wear it out which is good. Its a great stress relief and better exercise. Paired with headphones and Limp Bizkit this is pretty good therapy for the soul.
