EWheels EW-29 Electric Trike

It stopped working just 6 months after purchase. There is no warranty because the seller is not authorized to offer the warranty (per ewheels) and is very expensive for repairs. I have wasted $1,500.00 on this bike. It was great while it lasted. Unfortunately it only lasted 6 months.The seller refuses to refund and Amazon won't cover it under the A-Z warranty.

This bike is absolute GARBAGE. After spending the hefty sum of $1, 600 on it, I've dumped $200 extra into trying to make it work for me. From ergonomic and mechanical standpoints the bike is a total failure. There is no quality in the workmanship of this bike; even the keys don't engage properly. The manufacture is of NO help, even with a representative of Amazon speaking to him. Unfortunately I found out after the fact that his BBB rating is an "F". Be smarter than me and DO NOT buy it.

t does not seem to do very well on hills. I have not been riding it because it wants to turn away from where I am trying to go and head down the hill, and coming up, it strains.

After selecting this product for an elder family member, we unfortunately can not recommend this product.The company is completely out of touch when we contacted them for support for a serious product flaw.We received the trike in July 2020 in damaged condition: a dangerously loose seat-post.We attempted to tighten the bracket. And this was the only advice the company gave us.But the defective seat-post design on our trike left us with a loose, spinning seat.Completely unusable.We attempted multiple communications with the company via Amazon feedback as well as directly to the company - twice - at Senior.comEven though they promise"Your request (18513) has been received and is being reviewed by our support staff."No response of any kind.Multiple phone calls, left on infinite hold, "your call is very important to us" and so on.The usual terminal run-around by a company interested in maximizing profit while minimizing customer support to essentially zero.Still wanting to use the trike, we had to ship it to a regional bicycle expert to modify the defective seat-post bracket.Otherwise, this is an acceptable product. It performs - other than the defective seat-post - as expected and is enjoyable to ride, including for an elder. It gives a stable ride and appears to have a low center of gravity.Again, attempts at reimbursement for our expenses - and trouble - by Senior.com have been completely ignored.So even though we have a usable trike - after spending unexpected additional money repairing the defective product, we can not recommend this product, mainly because of the negligent attitude of the company Senior.comWe would recommend going with one of the other better constructed alternatives on the market:PFIFF Grazia-Bosch Electric TricycleElectric Step-Through by Electric Bike TechnologiesRMB EV Libert-eEmojo Caddy ProAddmotor Motan Electric TricycleRegrettable, since attending to this simple request would cost so little.We will update this feedback if the company ever responds to our requests.But at this point we have to conclude Senior.com has no interest in customer support and we give up.Buyer beware.

Horrible follow up on issues

Anyone looking to purchase an adult tricycle is clearly doing so for one reason - they want it to stay upright. This unit simply doesn't. I didn't believe the negative reviews but the intended rider said it was far too unstable even under pedal power to ride safely so we returned it. I got stuck with the $470 return shipping as well. Not cool.
