I recently bought the Viymgit 4 Pack of White Acrylic Shelves to add some minimalist storage solutions to various rooms in my home. While they are visually appealing and match a modern decor style, there are some aspects that could be improved. Here’s my experience:Design and Aesthetics: The shelves have a sleek, modern design with a clean white finish that blends well with most home decor themes. While the adhesive pads are indeed convenient and provide a clean look with no visible brackets, their holding power is somewhat lacking. They adhere well to smooth surfaces like tiles or painted walls but struggle with textured walls or in humid environments like bathrooms.Capacity and Durability: Each shelf is 15 inches long, which offers a decent amount of display space. However, the durability and weight capacity are concerns. The acrylic, while sleek, does not support heavy items very well. These shelves are best suited for lightweight decorative objects, and placing heavier items might risk them pulling away from the wall.Versatility: The size and design of the shelves make them versatile for use in different settings, including bathrooms, bedrooms, and kitchens. For those needing more robust shelving for heavier items or more durable installations, considering alternatives might be wise.

These shelves feel bigger in real life than I anticipated from the illustrations, quite long too.They are simply shaped bright White acrylic but fairly sturdy due to the thickness.The edges are reasonably finished but not super smooth, the surfaces are all gloss and protected with removable film. Corners are nicely radiused.Whilst the gloss looks lovely, I don't think if used for hard objects regularly they will stay like that as the plastic isn't hard. So in places of open show these shelves are best suited to ornamental use where the objects are moved infrequently.To be honest, I wanted these for my workshop as they can hold some things I need to hand and with the front lip retaining them from dropping so they won't look so pretty for long anyway.I called it a kit as it includes both double sided tape fixing and wall screw and plug fixings, there are only 2 fixing points per shelf, for the length of the shelves, 3 might be safer. There is a tiny spirit level and even a screwdriver, but you would be pretty desperate to use it as its rough and too slim to get much torque on, really didn't need including - who can't find/borrow a crosshead driver?Currently at nearly 19 quid, its not bad, could perhaps be 15 to be a more compelling buy in my opinion so gets 4 stars.

This is the second set of these shelves, small enough to fit in limited spaces and simple to fit too.ProsGlossy AcrylicEasy to fitSelf-Adhesive2 orientationsTools includedConsLimited weight capacityI was pleased to see what was included in this 4 shelf set; you get the acrylic shelves, screws and plugs (including spares), strong self-adhesive tape, a screwdriver, instructions and a very useful mini spirit level.The shelves themselves are made out of decent quality acrylic, they firstly require you to peel off the protective film but even this is easy due to the peel tabs on the edge, the high gloss white finish is nice and unblemished.Installing them leaves you with a few options; you can install them either way up depending on your preferences, I preferred them upside-down as display shelves for my various models, but the 'right way up' is a bit more secure if you intend to mount heavier items on them, how to fit them depends on again the weight but also how secure you want them, the first and easiest way is the self-adhesive strip, this is superb as it is a lot stronger than you imagine and obviously much easier than drilling, but drilling is pretty simple, especially using the included spirit level, it took me under 10 minutes to fit all 4.I loved the size, they are quite small which makes finding a space for them easier, the depth is ideal for model display and they look good with it.The only flaw I can think of depends on what you intend to mount on the shelves, as-is they suit light objects perfectly, but I'm dubious about putting heavy stuff onto them as the acrylic isn't all that thick and flexes somewhat, I would also mount them the other way up as that feels stronger.Overall ConclusionFor me and my model display use, these shelves are perfect, I like the size, ease of installation and how good they look, I was really pleased with the value vs the look of them too, this is my second set and likely to buy a few more.

These are nice looking white self adhesive shelves, easy to use with adhesive strip on the back. Also comes with screws and wall plugs. I like the style with the lip on the front, perfect for small lightweight objects. However, I found the plastic shelves a bit bent out of shape, my daughter wanted to put two together to line up her toys, as you can see in the photos the shelves just don't line up. Shame because otherwise these would be a great buy. I didn't notice at first but the shelves are covered in plastic so needs to be peeled off before use.
