A note on pricing
With this set I got the best drill I ever owned and the best driver I ever owned. The benefits of brushless motors are immediately apparent in battery and tool performance. Both tools are so compact they are almost toy-like in size. They are, however, nothing but professional in function. In short, typical Bosch quality, now brushless. As has been pointed out previously, until recently, you could only get brush-less tools from high-end brands like Festool. Bosch (and others) have brought brushless to the masses. Brushless tools are still quite a bit more expensive than their brush-ed (brushy?) counterparts. For instance the Bosch CLPK234-181L kit which is the same configuration as this one except that the tools don't have brushless motors sells for $205, $165 less than this kit. That being said, This kit is still hundreds of dollars cheaper than a similar tool combination from Festool for instance. I am not saying that these are as good as Festool gear. I never owned a Festool or a Metabo. I am saying however, that these are much better than brush-ed Bosch, Dewalt, Makita, Hitachi... drills/drivers, at a much lower price than a Festool or Metabo or place-your-favorite-very-expensive-brand-here.This set is great value when compared to buying each tool separately. The IDH182 with 2.0amp battery and L-boxx2 currently sells at $279 on Amazon, with the carry bag instead of the L-boxx2 for $219. The DDS182 sells for $219 in the box and $189 in the bag. This set: the two tools, two 2.0amp batteries, charger and one L-boxx that fits them both, sells at $369. I got them during the Christmas Bosch offer and got it for $25 less. Even when you buy the bagged versions separately you still pay $40 dollars more than with this set, $130 more if you get the boxed versions. Sure you will get only one charger and only one box, but why on earth would you want a 2nd box? Don't get me wrong, I like the box, but it is huge and fits two tools easily. And unless you are driving with your left and drilling with your right I don't see why you would need a 2nd charger either. If you do need only one or the other tool get the bagged versions they are more portable and significantly cheaper. Finally I honestly don't see why one would spend $99 ($149 for a pair) on a 4.0amp battery with brushless tools. With brushless motors a charge lasts considerably longer, even under heavy use. The 4.0amp batteries are also heavy and made the tool feel a bit awkward when I tried them. If I needed more charge, which I don't, I'd get an extra 2.0amp battery or two. I'd rather spend a few seconds swapping batteries than constantly carrying the extra weight.

Well worth the purchase
I use to have Bosch screw guns years ago and wore them out. Before I purchased more, I took a look at the Panasonic brand after a referral from another carpenter friend. I looked, tried them out , and purchased them. A really well made product! Well, now that I have wore out the battery's, replaced the worn out switches, the motor on one quit and the other was sounding funny. So, instead of replacing them also, I decided to look into the new products with better battery's. On to festool, as I have some of their tools already. The screw guns were well made and sounded like it, but the price was in my opinion was over priced. So another friend who still uses Bosch told me to look into the new brushless products. I did, and tried them out, and came to Amazon and purchased the combo kit. They are more balanced and lighter than the pannys I had before. They last longer on a charge with a smaller and lighter battery also. Since I use screw guns allot, I found them comfortable and well made. I like the L E D lights also. I find it easier than using my flashlight in dark cabinets. The torque gun was a surprise in how well it is controllable with setting screws in wood. I am happy with the new Bosch guns and will be purchasing another drill. The carry case is nice that you can put both guns in one box. But it is a little large. It is in their new stackable line of containers. The one latch is loose though and Bosch said they are on back order.and it is plastic. I'll see how long that lasts! While the Bosch guns are not quite as nice feeling and so on as the festool ones, they are also half the price for the pair, and feel like they should , or I am hoping they will., last a long time. I hope this long winded review helps you decide.

was happy to have it
Owned an old Dewalt 9.6 volt for years, was happy to have it. When it was time to replace batteries again decided to update and give old Dewalt to daughter. I'd never owned a driver before. The most important message here is that if you've never owned or used a driver and aren't sure how it is much different than just using a drill to driver screws, you will be simply amazed. For driving schools and some ratchet work, the driver is much less effort, faster, works better, and uses much less battery than the drill. Really remarkable. Regarding the Bosch brand, they are well made and ergonomically sound. Slightly on the heavy side but nothing that takes away from their overall great feel and performance.

In Love Again
I have a love affair with Bosch tools. I like DeWalt for some things, but I prefer these drills over those yellow ones.I used an earlier model of these when I did construction work, and ever since I have wanted the more powerful version of the impact drill. There's a lot that can be said about these products and there features, but I'll leave that to some of the more detailed reviewers. As for me, I just wanted to say I'm happy with my purchase.

Works great
My old drill stopped working a few weeks back and I needed a replacement. I liked the versatility of the drill/driver and impact driver. They fit perfectly in the LBOXX with room for other accessories. The drill/drivers feel good in the hand, have a soft feel to them and I really like the task lighting included in both.

Nice set
Great product- not the Bosch of old. The box system makes up for it.

Awesome impact driver/drill set
Awesome impact driver/drill set. Brushless motor... made a solid wood frame for a water heater including using lag bolts, hung up drywall, drilled into metal... the tool set handled everything with ease.

Poor quality control
One of the drill motors didn't work. Sent it back. Replacement drill was missing a cover. Kept it and requested a replacement cover. Amazon response was very fast but Bosch quality control needs improvement.

Not the best for lefties
The forward reverse button on the impact driver is in such a position that for a left handed user my index trigger finger is continuously pushing it back into neutral or reverse. Very frustrating. I would not buy this again unless there was design change. For right handed use it is excellent. May be a bit under powered compared to the Milwaukee and Dewalt. Now after three years of very limited use the head of the drill has just fallen off the drive shaft. Not the chuck but the whole head, ball bearings and all. Off to the repair shop for an estimate. Ill update cost later.

This is good set at a real good price especially that it includes the L Box to store the set the L Box is a great system to stack and store you tools.
