One of the best USB drives I've ever tested: Very fast, reliable, perfect price point!
Capacity, Speed and sturdy casing are all excellent plusses possessed by this flash stick. I haven't tried A-Data products many times before, actually only one other time when I purchased the same model in 8gb a few months back (which is what prompted me to purchase this one).I'm using this drive as a master boot key, holding several operating-systems to be installed via USB, many add-on programs, and a plethora of live-boot utility/technical tools. This will literally hold the vast majority of my most important tools/references, and so I needed to upgrade from 8gb to 32gb.*** STORAGE IS AWESOME32gb is plenty for most folks for portable storage. Presently I have the following: * Installable OS's - Windows XP Pro SP3 Vol. Lic. Ed. - Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 Vol. Lic. Ed. - Ubuntu - Knoppix* Live/Bootable OS's - Knoppix - Ubuntu - PC Dos & MS Dos 6.22a - BartPE (via UltimateBootCD4Win, aka "Live Windows XP")* Hundreds of tools including - UltimateBootCD4Win - PartImage - Ultimate Boot Disc - And gigs more - Portable Apps (google if you're curious)* A few gigs of technical reference files, apps, upgrades, and moreI have plenty of storage space left and still have a few more OS's to install to the drive. Very awesome!*** SPEEDS ARE EXCELLENTI don't have the speeds handy but I did do a speed test, and if you look for a review on this product entitled "USB 3.0 IS FAST" you'll see the person posted USB 2.0 speeds. I also have USB 2.0 hosts but my speeds were even a little bit faster than his, by about 5mb on the sequential, and anywhere from .5-3mb/sec faster for the other stuff. This is a really fast USB stick. When writing several OS's to the stick, which comprise thousands of files, it took less time than any other stick I've tried. I was able to write Windows 7 U 64 and Windows XP Pro onto the stick in a matter of minutes, compared to the half hour some other sticks were taking me. As to be expected, your experience may vary due to all computers being different.*** QUALITY BUILTThe casing is metal with a plastic cover. It's got a nice feel to it in the hand, and you don't need to worry about the casing breaking by dropping it. Additionally if you step on it or a small animal gets ahold of it, rest assured it won't be damaged. A friend of mine recently lost his USB stick and data because his dog chewed on it, breaking through the plastic casing and crushing the PC board. That won't happen to this one!*** USB SUPPORTThe device is compliant with all present USB hosts: 1.1, 2.0 and 3.0*** SUMMARYYou can't go wrong with this for the price, it's even backed by a lifetime warranty. I've dropped mine in a bucket of water and it still works great. I'm not advocating that though! If you ever do that, just shake it out as best you can and let it air dry for quite awhile. Just to be safe.

Nice and fast device!!
Just received this cute flash drive yesterday, and so far, performance is really good. It also seems to be a quality product, with a nice feel to it.I know that real life speed never matches the advertised speeds, so I was not relying on it. I copied a folder with MP3 files (about 35 MB) on my older HP USB 2.0 flash drive and it took about 16 seconds. I tried the same on the ADATA USB 3.0 and it took barely 5 seconds. I then copied unto the ADATA drive a folder with a lot of videos, 1.11 GB total, and it copied in less than 50 seconds. That's terrific performance in my book.I only have a few minor complaints. (1) The cover/cap can get lost easily, I rather like the sliding design of other manufacturers; (2) No indicator light to know when the device is working; (3) No way to put it on your key chain. If these minor cons does not matter to you, I highly recommend it.

Worth getting even if you don't have usb 3.0 !!!
Speed, reliability, design, price--- Speed ---Even if you don't have any usb 3.0 ports on your computer, this drive still exceeds the speed of your average usb 2.0 thumb drives. Here are some numbers for sequential read/writes (large file transfer) on my 2011 macbook air:Read - 35MB/s (limited by usb 2.0 port)Write - 18MB/sCompare this with a typical sandisk cruzer drive(most models) which has reads of ~20MB/s and writes at ~3MB/sEven the faster usb2.0 drives on the market (like the popular patriot xporter xt) have max speeds of ~25MB/s read and ~8MB/s writeAs for smaller files, I haven't had the same issues the other reviewer had; a website(not webpage) that takes me about 20 minutes to upload via FTP took about 4 seconds to backup onto this flash-drive.---- Reliability ----Theres not much to say here. The drive comes with me everywhere and still works at the time of this review. I don't see it failing anytime soon.--- Design and build quality ---This is a very handsome, solid drive. Aluminum body - very lightweight and rigid with a smooth gunmetal finish. One of the reviewers mentioned poor build quality, but I honestly think it has the best build quality of any flash drive i've owned. It's not bulky and doesnt flex like the rubberized patriot XT/corsair drives.. (which I've managed to break), and doesn't feel flimsy like most plastic drives.--- Price ---This drive is similarly priced similar to other similarly-performing usb3.0 drives, which at the time is about 50% more than equivalent-sized usb2.0 flash drive yet still several times cheaper than say a faster 8-channel flash drive. To me, this is a happy combination of speed and size/affordability.

GREAT FLASH DRIVE: FAST AND DURABLE !!!!!
The Adata Usb 3.0 is blazing fast. Currently using this on my hp dv6t laptop w/ the usb 3.0 port and I can definitly tell the difference in speed compared to my usb 2.0 flash drives. The two major features of this flash drive is of course the Usb 3.0 and the outer shell that is made of hard titanium shell. I did find some pros about this flash drive but I found more cons. My first problem with the flash drive is due to the titanium shell, even though the device is plugged in my laptop for 5 mins, it would get hot, and leaving it on for an 1 hour or more will get REALLY HOT. Next is the cap that covers the usb plug. Unless you don't get too careless, it is easy to get lost. Finally, it is the design, compared to my usb 2.0 flash drive which is almost third the size and half the thickness. I'm guessing that we're not ready for a usb 3.0 flash drive to become smaller as a usb 2.0 flash drive, but when it comes to portabilty, there are many other flash drives that are much smaller, just not usb 3.0.

read speed amazing, write speed (28 GBs of pix) terrible
As mentioned by others, the drive becomes extremely slow writing large number of files (I had more than 10,000 pictures in my trip- used as a backup). however, after copying, read speed was good. Returning it.

A conseiller..
