Love the look, quality and I really like the big open window. It displays the watches really well. It’s next to my bed but very quiet.

The cushions for the watches are way too small, even with the sleeve on. The sleeves need to be adjustable or ‘sprung’ all four of my watches slide and slip around banging into each other. I’ve had to pad them out. Now trying to find something to make another sleeve. Very poor for the money!!

Beautiful modernist design and works wonderfully. However, there are caveats. These things do not last indefinitely. The motors eventually die. Mine last 2.5 years before it gave up the ghost. They start by slowing down and the torque noticeable lessens to the point where you have to give the turntable a nudge to get it started. Numerous emails to Klarstein/Chal-Tec are next to useless as they do not/will not sell new motors and won't tell you what motors they use so you can order them elsewhere. Luckily I have done the work and found that most 'mabuchi' motors (which can be found on Amazon for about £18 each) work and replacing it is as easy as removing less than a dozen screws and they literally plug into a control board behind the front panel. Stock up on a few spare Mabuchi motors and you can repair a faulty winder in less than 10 minutes. Summary, great product but they do break eventually. The manufacturers leave a lot to be desired in regards support but luckily these things are repairable very easily.

This winder was for my husband, who is very pleased with the unit. It is well put together and runs very smoothly. All well so far-only a recent purchase.

I purchased this item late 2019 as a replacement for a 10 year old winder which had become too noisy. For the price it is very satisfactory, it looks contemporary and expensive. In operation it is quiet but by no means silent. The only negatives are that the watch cushions are made of a hard material and require some force to insert and remove from the turntables which could possible impact the bearings in future. The cushions are also on the small side, I have had to stick padding to the undersides to hold my watches without them flopping about. It would be better if the cushions were larger and softer which would solve both problems and accommodate a wider range of sizes. Overall very satisfied.

Great quality and looks really good. Great Christmas present!
