Heaven Fresh XJ-888 Smokeless Ashtray with Built-In Ionic Air Purifier with Night Light

I really wanted to give a good review, perhaps if you don’t smoke much this is ok but I found that the batteries I put in just don’t last very long, the smoke came out of the top, where the tiny filter is and it smelt like smoke, the room I tried it in for indoors did feel a tad less Smokey I will admit but omg the stench of the filter after just a few cigarettes was repulsive, like ashtrays on steroids so it can’t be left indoors for a start.Next thing is cleaning it seems pretty impossible, the whole thing was caked in nicotine and ash including the outside of it and I ruined a few cloths trying to get it clean and failed, it still has a sticky yellow layer caked over it and the inside is disgusting and awkward to try and clean. The material again seems to be resistant to cleaning.My cigs kept bumping the plastic middle arm bit so now it’s got melted bits which are impossible to clean.So back to the tiny tiny filter, which lasted a night before I had to use one of the few supplied as replacements, apparently I can’t wash the filter and replace it and I have to agree it stinks so bad I wouldn’t try anyway. But it’s a shame as they won’t last five minutes.As I said the batteries were eaten up, I’ve gone through a pack in just a few days. It says it prefers mains power but I dint want to only use it indoors, I prefer to have it outside so that’s not very practical.And the filtration, as I said, the smoke came out of the tiny pad but it also came billowing out the sides unfiltered and when there’s a hint of a breeze the smoke never makes it to the filter, that includes being indoors with a window open lol!And last but not least the light. It is too bright. It doesn’t need to be so bright especially if using outside at night, a little glow to show where it is would be welcome but I didn’t want to light up my garden and I hate blue lights of that type, they make my eyes feel strained. I stuck some tissue paper over it with sellotape to dim it If someone has sight issues it would be good. It dims as the batteries die of exhaustion of course.The filters won’t last very long at all at this rate and as much as I wanted to love this as I love the idea, I don’t think the technology is there yet, I hope whoever made it keeps trying and improve the design.It looks nice until it’s used, I liked that the ashtray was supplied. One thing I was impressed by was it doesn’t make much noise even at night, it is getting louder as it gets dirtier but it’s still pretty silent almost. Garrgh, really wanted to like this, still using it off and on just disappointed at the performance and smell and cleaning it lol
