The Forever Ship (Starship Omega Book 1)

Excellent
I have struggled of late to find new decent Sci-fi books. Most of the ones I have read of late have been dull to put it mildly.Which is why this surprised me. It was great. A book that I really wanted to pick up and read as often as possible.I love the plot. The human race has been subjugated. We cannot dissent. We are powerless. And humans discover something that might change the valance of power.I love the characters, with their vulnerabilities. The story moves along at a great pace and does not have unnecessary waffling narrative.Great book. The only downside is I have to wait 12 months for Part 2!

Worth a read
Can feel a little disjointed until you get used to the authors style. When you do it is a good read that flows well when you get into it. Looking forward to the next instalment.

a book of two halves
i ended up really enjoying this which i didn’t think i would when i started it. the first half was like coming into the book halfway through. the characters were two dimensional and the plot was wasn’t hashed. there was hardly any exposition and i was struggling to engage with it but after (spoiler alert) omega made itself known to Al it was like a switch had been flicked 😊 and it became much better reading. i’m now looking forward to book two!

Good SF story
This is set in a time when Earth is part of the Ornu Imperium. All Earth ships carry an alien overlord with access to a kill switch that can detonate a surgically implanted device in any human. They are always on the lookout for technology to increase their empire’s reach. A message is received from an ancient race piece of technology. What happens next is what the story is all about. There are space battles and heroism and plot twists.Worth reading.

Excellent sci-fi!
A great beginning to a tale that has the promise of being epic. The premise is on that's been covered before but the authors have introduced some neat plot twists that make it feel fresh and new. I'd recommend commend this book to any fan of the genre.

Great Stuff
A powerful story where despair turns to hope. Don’t assume you know where it’s going because it will prove you wrong at every turn. Strong characters driven to succeed with so many hurdles to overcome. A great foundation. Next one please!

The Forever Ship (Starship Omega Book 1)
What a trip! As a fan of 'good' space adventure, science fiction. I have been excited to finally get to read "The Forever Ship!" It's inception - do I dare say, it's conception - started a while back. Many fans of Scott Bartlett and Joshua James have been waiting 'expectantly' for this final version to drop. (OK, no more birthing references) In summary, I thoroughly enjoyed the story. There are so many things in this book to like. Add to the great writing the audio performance by one of the best, Mark Boyett, and you are in for one outstanding adventure. I can not wait to read the follow-up book, Eternity's Battleship (Starship Omega Book 2). -Mr.Bill

The start of an apocalyptic space opera.
Not a bad story. But I think you may be selling humanity short. Or, possibly, giving humanity too much credit. There should be more rebels. Even with the risks.Pacing gets bogged down occasionally and the multiple person perspectives can get confusing. Also the bad guys verge on the YA trope of monolithic evil, though that might be explained by them being aliens. Couple other YA tropes intrude as well, which is unfortunate. Can’t say more without spoilers but I would be interested in seeing what the author does to resolve some of the issues that came up in this book. I do worry, somewhat, about how some of these issues will be resolved because … spoilers.Disliked losing a couple characters, it is war and some die, but it was the ones I likedFive stars because writing is not easy and the technical aspects were well done. Edited well without jarring errors that can ruin other books. My opinion on style is just that, an opinion.

A Path of growth and Self-knowledge.
A path of growth and self-knowledge.A unique, original and suspenseful plot with an engrossing story that keeps moving and the exposition and dialogue are balanced together to keep interest and to keep you feeling engaged. Intense character dynamics, they felt like real people and by the end of the book I found myself very invested in what their fates would be. I was constantly on a roller coaster of emotions, raw and deep, with unexpected revelations, intriguing backstories, a raw, riveting and compelling conflict resolution.-There were some amazing plot twists and unexpected friendships formed in this book that I loved. It was so much fun to read, and when I had finished the book, I wished I already had Eternity’s Battleship #2 to continue on to another adventure.I highly recommend this 5/5* new series co-written by titans Joshua James and Scott Bartlett.

Fantastic first entry into a new space opera
I first read this book via kickstarter and I am so glad I got onboard early for this one. This is a captivating and well-written space opera. I liked the various cast of characters and the world building is fantastic. Without giving away any spoilers, the storyline of this book goes in wild places I never would have predicted. If you love sci-fi and space opera, then you really should give the Forever Ship a go. I can’t wait until the next instalment.

Of course
I really would love to write more reviews because I'm an Author myself and really need the feedback but Amazon requires a word count min. And most of the time I just don't have time I thought the forever ship was well written and a good concept , very entertaining ! I was one of those where you tell yourself just one more page before sleep but you look up and it's 5 am
