Incredible Brightness: At 1700 lumens, this is significantly brighter than cheap alternatives like Govee or generic Amazon brands. It’s bright enough to be the primary light source in a dark room, not just "mood lighting." True Colors (RGBWW): This is a "White and Color Ambiance" strip. It has dedicated white LEDs, so you get actual warm soft white (2700K) or daylight cool white (4000K) for reading, rather than that weird blueish-purple white you get from cheaper RGB strips. Bluetooth Ready: You don't need the Hue Bridge hub to use it. You can control it directly from your phone via Bluetooth right out of the box. Value: It is cheaper than the standard "Lightstrip Plus V4" kit, making it a great entry point into the Hue ecosystem. NOT Extendable: Unlike the standard Philips Hue Lightstrip Plus, the "Solo" model cannot be extended. There are no pins at the end to plug in an extension. If you buy the 10ft version and realize you actually needed 12ft, you are out of luck. You cannot add to it. Cut = Waste: You can cut this strip to size, but unlike the pro version, you cannot easily reuse the cut-off piece or reattach it. Once it's cut, the excess is trash. I recently invested in Philips Hue light strips, and I can confidently say they are a five-star product! These aren't just lights; they're an experience. The setup was incredibly straightforward, and integrating them into my existing Hue system was a breeze. The adhesive on the back is strong, making installation easy on various surfaces. Where these light strips truly shine for me is in my previously dark and frustrating closets. I have two closets that, for some inexplicable reason, were built without any internal lighting or outlets. Before, rummaging through them was a chore, relying on a phone flashlight or opening the main room lights. Now, with the Hue light strips, both closets are beautifully illuminated, making it so much easier to find clothes and organize. The ability to control the brightness and color temperature has been fantastic – a cool white for practical searching and a warmer glow for a softer ambiance. My only minor gripe, which is entirely due to my house's wiring, is the lack of an outlet inside the closets. This means I have a power cord running out from each closet to the nearest wall outlet, which isn't the most aesthetically pleasing. As always hue lights are amazing in color and brightness but the strip is easy to setup stays in place and durability beats all others.

In short, this light strip is expensive but it offers a good level of brightness (1700 lumens) and vibrant, accurate colors. I’m using it for indirect uplighting on a shelf in my living room so I don’t need to worry about “hotspots” or diffusing the LEDs. The ability to adjust colors and brightness through the app as well as through my numerous Echo Dots is the main selling point for me. I use Alexa routines and a Hue dimmer switch to control it, and have had no issues. That said, the adhesive backing is a bit underwhelming. It didn’t stick as securely as I expected, and I had to use additional adhesive strips to keep it in place. Also, the price is on the higher side compared to other LED strips, especially when factoring in the need for a Hue Bridge for full functionality. I have already bought into the Hue ecosystem pretty extensively so I was prepared for this but if you haven’t, it might be worth going with a cheaper alternative. Overall, it’s a high-quality product with great lighting effects, but the adhesive and cost are worth considering before purchasing.

Great way to add specific lighting to your desired location. The customization from brightness to color always as a nice and fun effect. Works well within the Hue ecosystem, and easy setup to the control as well if you still prefer a physical control on the wall

Hey Man! So I was much in need of additional under cabinet lighting and I ran across these puppies. THE LEDs are plenty bright. I'll give Philips that! I liked the idea of a flexible strand that could be self-adhesive applied to most all surfaces, provided they are clean, and were LED types. Actual usage and review shows that the adhesive tape gets a 1 STAR at best. Yep, the tape sucks. I have had to retape and add further additional tape in several places. It is NOT as flexible as it STATES. Wish it were but it is not!! THERE IS NO ON OR OFF SWITCH!! (WTH) which means either always using the app OR unplugging the bulky plug. Listen my phone IS NOT ALWAYS on me! Would it be that hard to add a switch??? Come on Philips! Oh and way too pricy for what it is! Dang it! I really wanted to like this product! OH well. Just say no and keep shopping! Having lived with this product for 6 months now, I have revised it down to a 1 Star rating. Super disappointed in the tape. Pass by this product.

Llevo años integrando focos, contactos, switches, cerraduras y todo tipo de dispositivos automáticos e inteligentes. Lo he hecho en varias casas debido a mudanzas y también por petición a algunos conocidos, como es evidente la tecnología va avanzando y abaratandose con el paso de los años, y cada cierto tiempo encuentro un dispositivo mejor. En todos estos años nunca quise probar la opción de hue porque me parecía demasiado cara para las prestaciones que podías tener en comparación con otras marcas y eso dejando de lado los productoa genéricos que encuentras a precio de risa. Le di la oportunidad a esta tira porque estaba en descuento, necesitaba llegar al mínimo de compra por hot sale y ya había pensado poner una aunque no la pensaba comprar en este momento. Algo de lo que me convenció es que podía operar por bluetooth y como no tengo el módulo hue (algo que también me había detenido a comprar dispositivos hue), no esperaba más que funciones básicas a través de la app. Al instalarla, igual de sencillo como cualquier tira, y empezar a probarla me dejó sorprendido con la gama de colores, intensidad y capacidad de atenuarla. Ninguna que había probado logra lo que se puede con esta tira. El plus es que se puede conectar a Alexa (vía bluetooth) y controlar desde ahí, sin necesidad del módulo hue e incluso sin necesidad de la app (aunque la app ayuda con la configuración de ambientes), como en otros dispositivos que se necesita la app nativa para conectarse a la red wifi y luego a Alexa. Ahora el problema es que ya estoy buscando más dispositivos hue y parece no hay vuelta atrás.

these are great, so far i have not had any significant issues with the adhesive peeling off. i guess it depends on where you stick them (stuck mine on the back of my ikea desk) its really easy to connect them to the hue app via bluetooth, and once you do so its easy to change the color, brightness, and speed of changing colors.

A really great addition to our basement playroom. The ability to change the colour is a lot of fun for our son and anyone who comes over. Can be found on sale for a great price.
