I have been using it as an ambilight for a 27" monitor and it works as expected using Signal RGB.

Must be a mem corruption issue going on. Every few months the device appears to function fine from the web ux but the LED's slowly start misbehaving and sometimes never turn on again. Uploading new fw and restoring configs will NOT fix it however a factory reset from the wled menu does the job.

This is one of the best controllers. Very easy to set up. I have had smlight controller which are also really good but this is cheaper and easier to set up. Worked right out of the box. Highly recommend.

What makes it worth the effort is how flexible and compact it is. After some experimenting, you can fine-tune brightness, effects, and timing exactly how you want, and the ESP32 chip gives you plenty of headroom for customization. It’s not a beginner’s controller — more of a “tinkerer’s toy” that rewards patience — but when it’s dialed in, it performs beautifully. If you like to experiment and don’t mind getting your hands dirty to make your setup perfect, this little board absolutely delivers.

All worked except the mic function per instructions. Mic function is a complete failure. 12/30/25 Updated to 5 stars. After communicating with the company I realized I was not using the correct effects in Wled for the microphone function to work. Had to be using an effect that had the musical note beside it. Disappointed that I thought I was recieving a controller with usb-c capabilities. I received a unit with a usb-a plug and the pictures on the page displays both options. Did not notice that until I received the controller and did some homework. I purchased this with the intention of using usb-c as that allows me to use a longer strip/higher current and not be limited to usb-a specs/power draw. It works with wled as expected, but with some unexpected power restraints.

I really liked this little controller, but something seems to have failed in it. It was working for about two days. When I moved it to another USB power adapter, the LED strip flashed for an instant then quit working. The UI was still working at the time, but after a while, it started getting stuck loading in the WLED app. The app could still see the controller, but the UI was inaccessible most of the time. I have used and built many WLED controllers. It might be my imagination, but the controller feels hotter than it should if no strip is attached. I checked the LED connector and it was still supplying 5V. It seems the gpio for the serial data output has failed, and for whatever reason, the ESP32 inside is running very hot. Regardless, I plan on buying more of these units. I can't imagine this is a common failure in this device.
