Which would feel more like a standard 7 weight? 6/7 or 7/8. I can't decide which one to get.

it really depends on what type of fish your going after, if your fishing for bigger fish like king salmon, the 7/8 if your going just for trout and and bass , go with the 6/7

what are the rod lengths?

I've seen some comments about certain reels not fitting on this pole. Will the Okuma SLV series reels fit?

I don't have that reel, but I have two reels that fit this rod, my 5/6 Reddington Drift and my 3/4 Taylor reel. They both have a reel seat length of 2.5" and the width fits perfect into the rod. So I can't imagine a reel so thick as not fitting since these new reels seem to be made to a standard dimension.
