Flymo Glider Compact 330VC Electric Hover Collect Lawn Mower, 1700 W

we are so pleased with this mower it is so much lighter and easier to use than our old one.

I thought being Flymo this would be a quality product, however it is simply not fit for purpose. A very large part of the housing is plastic into which the metal handles attach. The plastic moulding isn't one piece, it is several plastic pieces that join together in a flimsy, non too rigid manner. In very short use the plastic moulding breaks and the mower becomes useless. Look at the other reviews they mostly mention the same poor build and material quality. This is the worst electric mower I have ever bought.I have now replaced it with a LawnMaster 33cm electric hover mower MEH1533, it has an entirely metal handle, apart from the trigger grips, and is much more robust and solid, it also collects the grass cuttings better and is altogether a much better option, slightly cheaper too.

It throws grass all over the place. Is very difficult to clean and I had to make a special tool for the purpose.There was a small gap around the rubber skirt and I used gorilla tape to make it air tight and it worked better - hovering as intended. Do not recommend purchasing one.

lawn mower is good to use but the only problem I found is that the grass collecting box does not fit properly at every instance and comes out while moving the mover. I recommend the lawn mover to others as well

Great mower! Sadly the handle broke with in a week! Still waiting for a replacement part from the seller

Appalling for a "branded" product. Not fit for purpose. If I'd have tested this it would never have got to market. Don't buy cheap! Where do you start:Multiple height adjustments none of which can get as low as previous Qualcast.Not Manoeuvrable, does not go up slightest slope or bump,Really hard to keep the handle held down to keep the power going.Doesn't get near to the edges.Cutting box keeps coming off whilst mowing.The only advantage of this product is that I never fill my garden bin anymore because this thing sprays the cuttings over the deck, patio and paths. Does not pick up leaves. Horrible mess i.e. will add to the "thatch" in your lawn and thus actively work against you creating a quality lawn.Now after 13 months on a very small lawn with limited use ('cos I hate using it) the thing is falling apart. The circlips holding the handle on won't stay in place as the plastic surround has disintegrated. Now unusable.Avoid!

Having used Flymo 300 Turbo Compact for many years I was upset when it developed a violent vibration after I hit something while mowing. In my desperation I looked for a current Flymo equivalent mower and found this Glider Compact 330. on arrival I had to assemble it. This was not easy. Once assembled I noticed it was lighter than my old one and made of thin plastic. I used it once and was not happy with the cut. The blade is just a strip of flat steel strip. My old mover has a much heavier, sharpened blade. In desperation I pulled my old mower apart. There was nothing loose. I ran the mover WITHOUT the blade and it ran smoothly- no vibration at all. So I bought a new blade and the mower worked fine and am continuing to use it. If anyone wants a once-used Glider Pleiades contact me.
