Of course
I really would love to write more reviews because I'm an Author myself and really need the feedback but Amazon requires a word count min. And most of the time I just don't have time I thought the forever ship was well written and a good concept , very entertaining ! I was one of those where you tell yourself just one more page before sleep but you look up and it's 5 am

The Forever Ship (Starship Omega Book 1)
What a trip! As a fan of 'good' space adventure, science fiction. I have been excited to finally get to read "The Forever Ship!" It's inception - do I dare say, it's conception - started a while back. Many fans of Scott Bartlett and Joshua James have been waiting 'expectantly' for this final version to drop. (OK, no more birthing references) In summary, I thoroughly enjoyed the story. There are so many things in this book to like. Add to the great writing the audio performance by one of the best, Mark Boyett, and you are in for one outstanding adventure. I can not wait to read the follow-up book, Eternity's Battleship (Starship Omega Book 2). -Mr.Bill

Ok
It started out well but I was bummed with how the book ended. It's ok but I was hoping for a different ending.

Twisty, if predictable plot line. Likeable nd hateable characters.
Okay, I didn't review this book when I first read it. I was binge reading, and rushed on to a different book. When I got an email asking me to review the book, I couldn't even remember it. Binge reading, as I said. So I went back, reading from several different chapters. In the I decided to read it again. Maybe a little slower this time. Obviously I think you should read it too. But only if you like reading about plucky humans rising up against alien thugs with the help of their ancestors(?) and their technology. Gotta get back to my reading.

Excellent read, I highly recommend!
Humanity has been conquered by the Onru, a serpent like race that uses the races they conquer to wage their wars. Captain Bill Henderson is trying to keep his crew together while maintaining peaceful relations with the on ship Onru monitor. Any misstep could result in his death at the hands of the twitchy, onboard, monitor, Nonus.A mysterious message from a long dead race has been received by the communications officer of the ship. The Onru are always on the lookout for tech from this race; tech that they can twist into some form of weapon to keep their vassal races subject to them. This time the tech turns out to be a lost starship controlled by an onboard AI. The Onru are exited over the find but soon find themselves at the mercy of their human vassals which are the only ones the AI will communicate with.If he plays his cards right, Captain Henderson has before him the potential to turn the tables on the Onru. The ship AI is not open to just any request from Henderson so progress is slow. Henderson has to make the ship AI happy while keeping the Onru believing he is doing his best to follow their orders. The Onru quickly become frustrated with Henderson’s efforts and begin threatening him with death if he doesn’tprovide results. Our story takes off at this point with plot twists and turns as Henderson tries to work with the ship AI to save humanity and still keep the Onru satisfied long enough for his plans to come to fruition. This is a great read. I highly recommend it and am looking forward very much to the next novel in the trilogy.

An interesting book
This was an interesting read. While not sure how I felt about some of the contents, but I will look forward to the next book in the series.

The start of an apocalyptic space opera.
Not a bad story. But I think you may be selling humanity short. Or, possibly, giving humanity too much credit. There should be more rebels. Even with the risks.Pacing gets bogged down occasionally and the multiple person perspectives can get confusing. Also the bad guys verge on the YA trope of monolithic evil, though that might be explained by them being aliens. Couple other YA tropes intrude as well, which is unfortunate. Can’t say more without spoilers but I would be interested in seeing what the author does to resolve some of the issues that came up in this book. I do worry, somewhat, about how some of these issues will be resolved because … spoilers.Disliked losing a couple characters, it is war and some die, but it was the ones I likedFive stars because writing is not easy and the technical aspects were well done. Edited well without jarring errors that can ruin other books. My opinion on style is just that, an opinion.

Very interesting approach
to Humanity being slaves in a hopeless situation and getting an unforeseen chance to be free. However, the price of freedom and a better future is high, both personaly and humanity itself. We know from the description of the book that the discovery of an ancient and powerful ship will be key. What I did'nt like was that it took almost a third of the book to get to the point where the ship and the human crew finally came together. I can understand that the authors found it fitting in order to gave the characters more background. For me, that was taking too long. However, once our crew got the ship - or should I say, the ship got the crew? , for that ship sure isn't showing all its cards -, then the story is one of it's kind and marvellously done. There is lots of action, very well-written and captivating. There are hard choices to be made, which made the plot fascinating at many points. Omega's actions and evaluations on some protagonists' decisions are letting you guess on his motives, which made for an Intriguing plot, indeed. Some main characters choices were captivating to witness. So, all in all, a splendid, very interesting plot. Five stars earned. However, almost one year to wait for the second book - how did that happen?!!

A Path of growth and Self-knowledge.
A path of growth and self-knowledge.A unique, original and suspenseful plot with an engrossing story that keeps moving and the exposition and dialogue are balanced together to keep interest and to keep you feeling engaged. Intense character dynamics, they felt like real people and by the end of the book I found myself very invested in what their fates would be. I was constantly on a roller coaster of emotions, raw and deep, with unexpected revelations, intriguing backstories, a raw, riveting and compelling conflict resolution.-There were some amazing plot twists and unexpected friendships formed in this book that I loved. It was so much fun to read, and when I had finished the book, I wished I already had Eternity’s Battleship #2 to continue on to another adventure.I highly recommend this 5/5* new series co-written by titans Joshua James and Scott Bartlett.

Fantastic first entry into a new space opera
I first read this book via kickstarter and I am so glad I got onboard early for this one. This is a captivating and well-written space opera. I liked the various cast of characters and the world building is fantastic. Without giving away any spoilers, the storyline of this book goes in wild places I never would have predicted. If you love sci-fi and space opera, then you really should give the Forever Ship a go. I can’t wait until the next instalment.
