Mitsubishi Pencil Haiyuni 2B HU2B dozen (japan import)

Love these pencils! They are very close to blackwings. But the cheaper green finished mitsubishi is better quality in terms of drawing as compare to this one.

My new favourite pencils, I tried some loose stock recently and they are surprisingly so smooth. The 2B is a nice balance of dark without smudging too much.

Possibly the best pencils on the market? Bought after an online recommendation, I first tried the 10B pencil, which has a beautiful, creamy feel to it. Very smooth :-) So I have now bought mu usual collection - 12 each of HB, 2B, 4B, 6B, 8B and 24 10Bs! Please give these a try. You will NOT be disappointed!

Incredibly good quality pencils! Some of the finest i think I've ever used. Shipping is a little longer than I thought it would be but given circumstances it's understandable. Might be expensive but I believe this includes shipping so definitely worth it. Can be quicker and possibly cheaper if bought off amazon japan!

A beautiful writing experience for those of us who use pencil a lot. The colour of the graphite makes for strong dark strokes that are easily erasable. If you write a lot you will need to sharpen them regularly, but I've noticed that helps with my thinking time when I'm working!

A Exexcellent experience

I have been for more than twenty years a devoted fan of Koh-I-Noor Toison d'Or pencils from the Czech Republic. This pencil from Mitsubishi Uni is as good. As bought from Amazon Japan, it is also a little better value for money. I strongly recommend this product. I use pencils (and Apica CD Notebooks) for all of my work. This is very high quality.

I love a nice pencil, and I also like to keep a minimal setup. I got 12 2B pencils because 2B is my main pencil for all kinds of drawing and sketching - I don't really need anything harder or softer most of the time because I don't do elaborate and fully shaded pencil drawings. I also have an HB, 4B, and 6B in the Hi-Uni line and, for me, Hi-Uni pencils feel the nicest to draw with compared to other brands. Hi-Uni pencils feel soft and smooth when drawing - I would say they draw a bit softer and darker than other brands I have tried, so perhaps try them out in a store if possible before committing to a 12-pack. I bought one pencil in 2H, HB, 2B, 4B, and 6B first to try them out before deciding the 2B is the pencil I can use most of the time for drawing. I have used Staedtler, Tombow, Faber Castell, and Blackwing for drawing, and normally I'll use Hi-Uni and/or Blackwing. I personally use my Hi-Uni 2B and Blackwing Matte as a carry-around 2 pencil sketching set. Sometimes I also use a Blackwing 602. Anyway, all of the pencils I mentioned above are great and I would have no complaints about using them, my personal preference is just Hi-Uni overall. If you're looking for a writing pencil, I would suggest a Mitsubishi 9850/9852 in HB, or a Blackwing 602/Natural. Tombow and MD Paper also make nice pencils for writing and I own some.

Fantastic for sketching, soft and rough and feel great in hand. Not too smudgy and erase pretty easy for 2B.
