Everyday low prices and free delivery on eligible orders. Review: So Cheerful & Heart-Warming - I suppose I'm a huge fan of Japanese Fiction now! This book was such a relaxing and uplifting read and so full of hope. The book is made up of six short stories about people of different ages, each with their own unique circumstances. I think every reader will find at least one character that they can relate to. I really enjoyed making the connections between the characters as the stories eventually intertwined. I could read this book again and again and get a different message each time. Overall I found the book moving, inspirational and wholesome. Would definitely recommend. Review: Decent book! Worth a read - Overall, an easy read which is uplifting with a cross section of different people's lives. The library is a common theme for the people. It is generally uplifting with some good messages. It could benefit from more depth but still worth a read.

Uplifting
A simple read, written at a relaxed pace, made up of five related short (50 page) stories. A much welcome comfort read, filled with great lessons for everyday life, with likable characters who have real personal barriers to overcome. Would recommend 👍

Cosy, cute and forgettable
This is a cute and easy book. I wouldn’t say that the themes are very deep or complicated, but because it’s so fluffy and positive, I recommend you read it if you’re feeling a bit down or tired. Only 3 stars because I still expected better and cosy books are not my style, it’s a bit too saccharine and forgettable for my taste.

A beautiful heart warming novel
I loved learning little snippets about Japanese life. Love the format of the book of the different chapters for each character story and their lives. To summarise each character ends up visiting the librarian who recommends them an unexpected book which changes their life in some way, it highlights the small simple things in life that bring you joy and helps the characters to see things from a different perspective. Highly enjoyable, made me smile a lot.

Amazing!
5 amazing stories all slightly connected. I couldn’t put this down until I’d finished it all in one weekend. As in the last story you can find yourself relating to all the people and you feel like you are there with them, I also wish I had a library like that near me! Though provoking too in how we can enjoy the every day things in life.

The Community House
This is a beautiful book and so well translated. Only five chapters, each person’s personal story somehow connects them to the community library. The characters are all strong but soft and each have a memorable encounter with the sweet Ms Sayuri Komachi. I couldn’t put this book down, it’s such a pleasurable read. Highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a good read.

A book for the soul
I love this book. It's simple on the face of it but several of the tales really made me relate the characters to myself and my life. The writing, despite being a translation from Japanese, flows well and the characters engage. The characters interconnecting was an added nice touch.

A very entertaining book, where each chapter can be read separately. A feel good book. Food for thoughts as well.

I got this as a kindle E-Book. Each Chapter explores a brief look into a different ordinary person's life. They all share a thing or two in common, and use different books to start overcoming their problems. It's charming, relaxing, and overall an excellent feel-good book. The writing is great and engaging without too much action, and the characters seem like good and genuine people. I like this book and will soon be getting a physical copy to decorate my shelf, and I highly recommend it to you as I have for my friends and family.
