Excellent, Long-Lasting Cold—Just Mind the Fill Line!
I was excited to test the "up to 48 hours" claim, and these Everlasting Ice RX packs genuinely delivered exceptional cold retention. For weekend trips and long days spent outdoors, these are a fantastic, mess-free alternative to traditional ice. I packed my cooler for a two-day camping trip, and these packs were still ice-cold (not just chilled) well into the second day, keeping our food and drinks perfectly preserved. The fact that they are reusable, leak-proof, and eliminate the soggy cooler bottom is a huge win. My only cautionary note, and the reason for the four-star rating, involves the initial setup: You absolutely must follow the filling instructions precisely. These packs are designed to expand when frozen. If you overfill them, even slightly beyond the recommended line, they will expand excessively, causing the plastic casing to bulge outward dramatically in your freezer. This expansion makes them difficult to stack and takes up more space than necessary. Once you find the "sweet spot" for filling them—leaving enough room for the internal solution to expand without distortion—they are perfect. They deliver serious, long-lasting cooling power and are a great investment for anyone serious about cooler performance.
