How long does a can of heat last?

Hi Peggy - The Sterno S'mores Heat has a burn time of 45 minutes but if all the fuel is not used in one sitting it can be resealed and used again at a later time!

Are the sterno cans the standard size sterno cans or do you need to buy the special "s'mores heat" branded sterno cans to have them fit in the tray?

Thank you for your inquiry. Other Sterno fuels are not appropriate for use with the Sterno S'mores Maker. Unlike Sterno S'mores Heat, the other fuels are not designed to work with the unique Sterno S'mores Maker Heat Management System.

It’s a hit!

This little s’mores maker was a total hit with me grandchildren lol and neighbor kids. Set it up on a little table on my driveway for my grandson this summer. lol before we knew it we had a small crowd of kids that wanted one 😃. It works great! Well worth the money. I would recommend this s’mores maker to others.

Tiny Thing Does the Job

This tiny little fire pit is amazing. It may look like it, but the black bottom is not cast iron; that's ok because it doesn't need to be. The instructions are quick and simple and the sterno lighters are reusable (just snap the lid back on) and replaceable. Only issue was the roasting sticks didn't seem sturdy when connecting them together, but it worked out fine. Make sure not to have your face over the sterno can when you light it. And don't try to just blow it out. I wish this kit came with a a tool to put the fire out but I used a kitchen pan to "smother" it and it worked just as well. Also, the protective net on top immediately turned red in the center but didn't seem to be harmed by the fire. Easy to clean too. So far so good.

Great gift idea!

I gave this (and the graham crackers, chocolate and marshmallows to actually make the smores) as part of our office Christmas gift exchange. We did the type of exchange where you can choose an unopened gift or "steal" a preciously opened package. This was a huge hit and turned out to be the most stolen gift. 😀

Half the size of pictured.

This this is the size of a large tea cup. Very disappointing. They also will not accept returns on it due to the flammable material. 1/10 stars DO NOT RECOMMEND.

The marshmallow sticks are garbage. Might as well just buy a sterno and use that alone without this nonsense.
