BOOMIBOO 24 oz Sourdough Starter Jar, Glass Jars Fermentation Kit, Sourdough Starter Kit with Date Marked Feeding Band, Thermometer, Cloth Cover & Metal Lid,Instruction Book

A beginner sourdough baker here: For me this was a good little kit. I don't find myself using the temperature strip and it doesn't completely stick to the jar. Also, I prefer a plastic lid that I already have and in my dry climate the cloth top doesn't work for me. But the shape and size of the jars, the volume markings, as well as the spatulas and date/time band are worth it. I placed a label and wrote the weight of each jar on it (one was 400g and the other 404g). Now I can simply weigh the entire jar with the starter to calculate my feed ratios. I love the mason top because I add the water first, place the lid on and shake it vigorously to loosen any dry bits, then scrape the sides down to clean it up. I then add the flour and mix it in the bottom. I wipe off the top of the jar, rinse the lid and place it back on, loosening a quarter turn. This process keeps the jar really clean and easy to see the rise and my starter can rise without drying out. With this method I rarely have to wash the jars and I keep a countertop starter jar and fridge discard jar.

This is well worth your money! I make sour dough bread so I always have starter in my fridge. I was just using a jar until I saw this! It comes with a band to measure when you use it & how much. I love the cloth cover for when it's sitting out. The size is perfect & the bands are super easy to use! I bought 1 for my mom & my aunt also! Grab it quick!!!

These are perfect for my sourdough bread starter. The spatula is strong for mixing and eady to clean. Having two jars and spatulas is helpful in keeping one discard sourdough in the fridge and one active and ready to use. They are the perfect size to avoid overflow but have enough starter to bake with.

Gave me a great beginning to my sourdough adventure! The little red knife was the best part!!!

Great sourdough start kit. The cover did not last long as my dough ran over and got on it causing it to become hard and difficult to clean. I just threw it away and now I use a kitchen towel to cover. The other items work great.

Good jar. Easy to use. Durable. Kid has metal seal, and has a cloth top. 24 oz jar. The thermometer and the feeding day/time band are very helpful. And it has a silicone stirrer.

Good product

This is perfect. My daughter has been working on a starter for about a month and the jar fell and got a small crack on the jar and immediately started panicking. We are short on $ so I was looking for something affordable and this fit that bill. She received it and said it was exactly what she needed and the starter seems to be 'growing' more than it was in the original one. I have no idea what it means but she is happy with it!
