You'll need plenty of floor space.
I think David Carradine's workout is really great, and the outfits aren't so silly in this video. However the one thing I find disappointing is the floor space required once you put all the moves together. Obviously, they practice in quite a large studio space, where ample floor space provides plenty of room to move around. I only have a small space in my living-room, and I quickly find myself running into furniture. The workout itself left me wanting a little more than was offered, but is more than adequate for beginners provided you have plenty of room in your workout area. I also think all the bonus extras of his life story in film & television, and his music is unnecessary and a bit self-involved. All that said, its still a pretty good buy, and I use it regularly.

Great!
For me this DVD is an AM Workout. When I worked out at night I was up most of the night. I simply could not fall asleep. It really seemed to energize me. I didn't put the connection together until after 3 workouts.I'm a beginner and found the DVD very enjoyable, even fun & not hard at all. After following along about 6 times I found I really enjoyed the option of doing it without the verbal instruction. That's the best! I love having that option. It's very peaceful. Also, I enjoyed watching and following the women behind David Carradine. They're great! I can only aspire to the level of the Asian master who is also featured on this DVD. All in all, this DVD was well worth the money.

ok, but not the best
This is an ok product if you want a few pointers on some tai chi moves, however, it is not very extensive or helpful for beginners. I was expecting to learn tai chi sequences, but this is mostly a few moves done repetatively. There is a part that has sequences, but if you are a beginner, it is quite confusing and doesn't focus at all on technique. The camera angle is constantly changing while you are turning around and doing different things and it is hard to know which direction you are supposed to be going. A better product that I have enjoyed is Tai Chi daily practice by GAIAM. Learning Tai Chi takes some patience at first, but once you get the technique, the benefits are worth it!

Good for first timers...
I am new to Tai Chi. I was looking for an introductory DVD to learn from. I wanted this mostly for relaxation and stretching. The good news is I got exactly what I was looking for. I find it easy to follow. I agree with another reviewer that occasionally it would be helpful to have more shots of the performers feet, but it's only a few times. I found this relaxing and a good stress reliever. Even noticed I'm sleeping better.

Moving slowly is harder than you think... but FINE!
I found it harder than I thought it would be.I found myself getting all tensed-up while moving, etc.; don't know if I should have or not.Coordination is a Must... it took me awhile to get used to copying the movements I saw on the screen... especially the movements where you had to bend over... a little hard to watch the screen while bending over. :)All in all, I felt better afterwards than I did before I started.It's very good!

worth the effort
a easy to follow low impact exercise program that will aid your physical and mental ability. You dont need a room full of equipment b to 'exercise' 20 minutes in your day will show much improvement - give it time it is a way of life not a n instant 'fix'

Tai Chi Exercise DVD
This is an excellent exercise dvd.Anyone interested in this kind of exercise should purchase the dvd. I took Tai Chi for 3 months at a gym. I then decided to buy this dvd and it is exactly like the person that taught at the gym. It is great for balance. It ia a mind,body and also meditation exercise .It is beginner focused and that helps. You will love it.

Great for beginners
I have lost several inches off my waist and went down a whole pant size in just two weeks of doing both routines everyday. My eating has not changed, and I am pleased with the results. I find it challenging as I put my all into it. Great for those not wanting a change in exercise options.

太極拳のエクササイズです。AM & PM という名のとおり、午前に行うエクササイズと午後に行うエクササイズの二部構成になっています。Tai Chi for the Mind(AM) ストレッチ、深呼吸、ゆるやかな動き(約30分)Tai Chi for the Body(PM) AMより強度が増し筋肉を使う動き(約30分)本当は向かい合わせでやってくれるといいのですが、右と左が逆になります。新しいポーズが出てくる時は画面の隅に後ろ向きのポーズが挿入されるのでそれを見て覚えるしかないですが。ちなみに、David Carradineは映画「キル・ビル」にビル役で出演していた俳優さんです。英語音声のみ。リージョンオールなので日本の普通のDVDプレーヤーで視聴可能。
