Great value, sharp cutter
Good value cutter - great for site work. I bought this for a small number of joints on some pdf. Nicely built with a total of three bearings for different depth cuts. Comes in a handy case with an Allen key for bearing changes.Sharp and accurate - did a great job with a lightweight palm router. Seemed well balanced and cleared the chips well - no binding or burning. I have a ½" cutter on a router table which is better for production work but this is fine for smaller on site jobs and I will be using it again.

Good quality, good value
This is a decent biscuit cutting set. As an amateur woodworker I could never justify the cost of a biscuit jointer, or for that matter a Domino, so using a router to cut biscuit slots is the easiest way to use them. The bearings are typical quality and work just fine. The collar to hold them in place is secured with just a single worm screw, and I suspect over time this is the part that will fail on this item!I tested with all three sizes and they are spot on - the slots were a good fit for the biscuits in each size. Not too tight, not too loose, and just the right depth to ensure a neat 50/50 on either side of the joint. I did take photos, but looking at them they're too boring to upload - all I could show is that the two pieces of wood fit together!Testing with a brand new blade I found it sharp and cut as smooth as can be in my Dewalt 18v palm router. How well the blade performs over time we'll have to wait and see.For the price however I think this is good value - I paid slightly less for my last biscuit cutter but that was a fixed size for No20 biscuits only, so I'm glad to have the flexibility this version brings.

A nice little bit for biscuit joints
A nice little bit to add that tiny extra bit of strength to glued joints. This works well to cut the slots. I am realising my big router needs to be supplemented by a palm router to make this a lot quicker!

Does the job nicely
This router bit arrived in a small easy to recycle plastic box. Or more exactly a bright yellow box, which makes it easy to find in a busy workspace. Plus the box does a good job at protecting the cutting edges. As for the bit itself, it's well made from a strong steel with decent cutting edges. On arrival it did need a wipe to remove excess machine oil. But that's normal as that oil protects the bit against transit damage. It also fitted my router perfectly and did a good very job. Easily being able to cut slots for biscuits, just as well as a biscuit jointer. Plus, unlike a biscuit jointer, I can use this on my router table. Which means I can quickly, safely and easily cut grooves. Perfect for backboards or drawer bases. And all for a very reasonable price.

This is a neat sharp slot cutter
The biscuits in biscuit joints are thin discs of wood. If you're going to join two pieces wood together cut slots in the faces that will meet. Glue together with biscuits in the slot adding additional strength to the joint. Of course, if you have thin lengths of wood of the requisite thickness there is no need to buy biscuits. What you do need is something to cut the slots. The Akylin Router Bit has has a 1/4" shank with tungsten carbide blades,. These ensures excellent wear resistance. As well as being a general purpose router bit it is also the right size for cutting slots for #10 biscuits. It is an excellent woodworking tool.

A Reasonable Budget Line Cutter
I usually use pro Trend cutters, so I was interested in trying this out as a comparison. It's cheaper, so it would be unfair to expect the same level of quality, but it performs the task reasonably well. There's a little bit more play in the bearing than I'd prefer, and it certainly isn't as smooth as my usual biscuit cutter, but if you're an occasional hobby user it will suffice. You can't expect a spare bearing at this price range either. This cutter will get the job done for sure, and it's sharp. Time will tell how long it keeps its edge. As I say, for an occasional hobbyist it's all you need. If you're a regular user I'd suggest trying the Trend.

Very useful
If this is your favourite joinery method then this tool is pretty handy. Very quick and simple to grab and use and worked very well indeed for our first try. Fair price and good results indeed.
