Product description ------------------- Pure Peru Balsam Essential Oil 30ml. Botanical Name: Myroxylon pereirae. Part: Crude Balsam. Colour: dark brown. Consistency: very thick. Note: Base. Strength of Aroma: Medium. Blends well with spicy, floral, oriental and balsamic scented oils. Peru Balsam has a vanilla like scent. For this reason you will see it as a scenting agent in creams and lotions. History: Historically, this was an important ingredient in the anointing oils of the Christian faith. It was combined with olive oil and used for blessing by a bishop and used as a chrism. Pure Essential oils must be diluted with a carrier oil before using directly on the skin.
