 This is a great budget thermometer. I compared it to my $100 (10x the price!) Thermopen, which this one clearly is trying to look like, and it compared well (and for 1/10 the price, quite well). See the video below where I do three tests. I think you can ignore the first test; the probes were too far apart from each other and probably were in different temperature portions of the meat. But the next two show this thermometer a few seconds behind the Thermapen, but getting very similar measurements.While a few seconds may not seem like much, if you're probing several pieces of meat (let's say ten pieces of chicken) and have to uncover the grill to do it, then a three second difference x 10 is 30 seconds more that the grill lid is off. This is a big deal. But, for $10, this is a great way to get started on getting used to cooking with a fast, accurate probe thermometer!

For someone with a visual impairment this product has really helped me out lately: I love the fact that it reads the temperature aloud. My only con is it is hard to open.

This works very well. I use it all the time when roasting meat, such as turkey and ham.

Actually pretty nice when using! while automatically turn off when you are not using it! pretty easy to use!

I will review later as I bought it for my son who loves to barbecue . So we will wait until the weather is warmer .

Looks like QA for this product is non-existent. I used thermometer just a few times and it stopped working.
