Non-curved VA Panel + Widescreen = Problems
So even though there isn't much information online about this monitor, I saw it drastically marked down at a local big box retailer, so I took a chance and picked one up.First the positives:- The cheapest name-brand 34" ultrawide on the market,- Solid materials and build quality, sturdy/hard brushed plastics,- Excellent stand (extremely stable, buttery smooth vertical adjustment, wide angle of tilt, full swivel, no rotation),- 100% sRGB color space and 6-axis hue/color adjustment are really nice,- The panel is super bright and colors are vibrant on-angle,- Decent 4ms response time, not much noticeable ghosting,- Has DisplayPort in -- usually cheaper monitors will only have HDMI/DVI.Now the negatives:- Off-angle color and contrast are very poor, probably near TN-levels,- PPI density isn't the greatest (but what did you expect, 2580x1080p over 34"),- Dubious color accuracy out of the box, definitely requires manual calibration,- Annoying menu system that utilizes contextual button array, instead of a more intuitive joystick/dpad,- Horrible built-in speakers (even worse than you would expect). So while there are a lot of things to like about this monitor, especially given its price point, the viewing angle problems were a complete deal-breaker. If you're sitting at the usual distance (arms-length, or a bit further) away from the monitor, only the portion of the screen that is directly in front of you will display color/contrast properly. Anything off-angle will be noticeably washed out -- and at 34" with no curve, there will be a lot of the monitor that is off-angle to your eyes. If you move to a distance of about 5 feet away, things starting looking much better, but that's not so practical for most use-cases.I suspect that either this panel is just poorer than your average VA panel in terms of viewing angle, or VA technology just isn't suitable for 34" non-curved monitors. Either way, I wouldn't recommend this monitor for day-to-day productivity -- maybe just for 21:9 content consumption, or gaming, if you don't mind sitting further away than usual.

It isn't curved, the res could be higher, but not for this price. Very happy with it.
There are times when scanning from the right side to the left side that you wish it was curved, especially when you first start using it, but you get over it pretty quickly.I do wish I could go to a higher resolution, but it is what it is -- and it is a hell of a lot of monitor for the money.Would buy again.

Wide screen monitor
The monitor so far has performed as expected and the quality is quite good. There are no spots or any other type of defect in the screen and the monitor seems to perform with any type of media.
