Fun game
I played this with my husband and realized that my state flag knowledge is terrible. It was fun slowly learning each state's flag. It's a good family game too because younger kids are just matching pictures.

Fun for Grandparents to Play With Grandchildren
I love the cards with the state flags and capitals on them. In addition to being a game, this is a good way to earn the state capitals. It's amazing how state flags differ from simple designs (like my home state of North Carolina) to intricate and multi-colored ones (like the state of Maryland). As a memory game, it works like this: There are two copies of every state flag. Place all the cards face down so that you can't see the state flag. The youngest player goes first, and turns over two cards. If they don't match, he must place them back face down in the same spot he picked them up from. If they do match, he keeps the cards and gets additional turns until he turns up two cards that don't match. Players continue taking turns until all the cards are gone. The player with the most matches wins. This reminds me of the old game show on TV called "The Match Game." Players must remember where on the table cards were turned up earlier. The packet says it is a good game for ages 3 to 99!

Great idea, may need a different storage system
If you're going to play a memory game, you may as well play with a set that imparts some kind of knowledge during play. This one will help you identify all the state flags of the US. It does in fact, feature all the flags of the Union, and whether you're playing the matching game, or using them as an accessory to a school project, I think this set has merit. The drawbacks come from the materials. The cards themselves are thin -- think playing cards. Of course, with a hundred cards, thicker ones would take up a lot of space. The real let down is the box. If kids (or adults) are going to be playing with this set often, the flimsy box will not hold up. Another container or zipper bag will be necessary. And know that since there are 100 cards to this set, a memory match game will be long, and only playable by older kids. But you can take out 8 or 10 pairs to play a memory game with preschoolers and it will work fine. It comes, thankfully, with all the cards paired and in alphabetical order, so in the beginning, it's easy to sort out the states you want if separating from the pack.Overall, I like this set. Just keep them in a zipper bag if the box tears and you'll be fine.

Great addition for homeschooling
This is a great match game to learn the state flags and the capitals of each state. It's played just like a typical match game. For younger players, I would do a smaller number of cards to match, but my 10-year-old enjoys using them all to play the game. He is learning state capitals this year and this has been a great addition that he finds fun to do!

State flags
This matching game is a bit smaller than I thought it would be. The cards seem very good quality. They have a glossy quality to them. They are in the box all mixed up. Utah has its updated new flag, but Minnesota’s which changed very recently uses the old flag design. Fun for learning states and capitals.

Great memory game for my residents!
I work with seniors in a nursing home and this Memory Matching Game is great! I played this with my residents yesterday and they had fun. We laid them out on the table and they would takes turns turning over two cards. We'd say what state they were and then turn them back over, then the next resident took a turn. If someone matched a pair, they took the cards and laid them face up in front of them and then we'd talk about the state. Then they would go again. It was a great way to reminisce with the residents while also playing the memory game.

US State Flags
Got this for the twelve-year-old in our family who loves flags. He has the country flags memorized so this is helping him learn the flags closer to home. The cards are decent quality and the price is fair. A nice choice for an educational game or activity.
