First off, great quality as expected from iOttie. That said, the left side mounting position as suggested didn't work at all for me. When it's down - it would be blocked by the steering wheel. When it was up - it would block lakf the windshield. I need to keep it vertical for ride share apps. My solution was to move to the right side (that's for including a second sticky!). Works well so far! 2023 Tesla Model 3.

From the cheap material is made off to the rattling noise and shaking while driving to breaking apart while trying to take it off cuz it only belong in the trash can then finished with glue mark on my tesla screen... what a horrible purchase... be advised and stay away

Interesting design, and from a once very trusted name (I've used their phone mounts for the last 8+ years). Just picked up the "Advanced" "screen mount" version, and a week in the thing's not staying attached. I did all the required prep work, IPA to the back of the Tesla screen and allowing it overnight to stick without any weight. When I first used this, it stuck very solid (no movement at all). The design also allowed me the ability to mount the phone in the horizontal position over the top of the display (just loosen the twist knob and rotate the arm) for use with Harry's Lap Timer (the iOttie brand and this feature sold this model for me). But about 5 days in the first sticky pad started allowing the mount to rotate. My phone is an iPhone 8 (yeah, old, but not heavy like some of the new stuff), so should be a cake walk for this thing. Thinking it was just a bad sticky pad, I replaced it with the included second one, and about 3 days later that one started spinning too. I'm contacting iOttie now for advice, but either the heat from the climate system blowing on the mounting point and/or a poor material problem, I'd suggest possible other options. But I'll update with any new info.

This phone mount is trying to keep up with the newer screen styles that stick up above the dash, and it partially succeeds. FIRST, iOttie is generally a good brand with strong holding strength for today's larger and heavier devices. However I found this mount to be less than what I expected from the brand. The button plate on the back surface is not as clean as most of the other iOttie holders I have. It tends to require a fair bit more pressure than usual, and when it does lock down, one side releases before the other. It does hold once both arms are released, it just doesn't release cleanly. The ball mount on the back is snug and tight, and it handles well in my spirited driving style. The phone doesn't shake in the mount itself, and the mount attaches to the arm snugly. however that's where the stability ends. Because this mount sticks to the back of the screen shell, and it has a long, thin arm that sticks up a fair bit, this creates a huge lever effect and the phone bounces a lot. The solution is to put something under the top of the arm near the ball mount, in order to create a 2-point support structure. Once you have this settled, it looks and works fine, it's just a mild annoyance, and something they could have easily incorporated into the overall design of the arm. You may not have as much of a problem with that if you have a smaller/lighter phone or mobile device.

The ADVANCED version is a lot more solid and quieter than the classic which rattled and made noises when a phone was not in the holder. I may purchase a 2nd one to replace a classic iOttie that is in my other car.
