Met all my expectations, including authentic coins, chalk etc. Nicely made and well packed

This game ticked all of by boxes, fun family game, easy to follow rules, easy to play, kids can play. I was actually looking for a board with brass lifts set into the wooden board, but for about half the cost, this set is more than adequate! Well constructed solid wooden board with easy to see white lines to see where your lovely authentic old coin ends up.This game comes out whenever we have friends or family to stay, particularly when my niece visits us, as I would like to win once in a while!Its really nice to see that the coins included are authentic and proper halfpennies unlike others I've seen which are a flat steel ring with a whole in the center! Well done in keeping this game truly authentic!

Great game to play with the grand-kids. we have our own rules, so the game goes faster and then the winner plays who ever is waiting. Our rules1. first one to get five coins between the lines.2. no more than two in any count area counts toward the win.3. both players allowed the same number of turns before a winner is announced.

I have been repeatedly asked via email to review this Shove Hapenny Board I recently purchased. However, I have not yet had time to open the parcel and inspect the board due to working daily at a building site one hour away from my house and having a particularly needy 17 month old little boy who has a fixation to anything with wheels.So all I can say is the box is slightly larger than expected presumably due to the generous amount of packing material and cardboard crumple zone designed into the box structure. It is made from nice, thick, corrugated cardboard (I would estimate it to be approximately 4mm thick) with very classy & clear "Jaques of London" lettering. The delivery man was dressed well (although an informal mix of fleece and jeans), had a nice smile and a very clean estate car. The process of signing the touch screen on his POD (Proof Of Delivery) device was very straight forward helped by my simple "Cross" design signature.Based on this I can only assume the board itself will be equally impressive and deserving of my 5 Star rating.

We were so pleased to have discovered this shove-halfpenny board because we were looking for party games for adults which were old-school non-electronic games. Not only did this fit the bill perfectly but it really is top quality. The board is made from solid wood with the lateral grooves cut cleanly and deeply enough to avoid arguments. It was remarkably well-packaged (it reminded me of how Apple products are packaged) and even had its own chalk and halfpennies. Not cheap, but worth it.

Good quality well finished game board complete with halfpennies & chalk, traditional game board brings back child hood memories, very well hand packed by Victoria. Hours of uncomplicated fun

Great game. Grandkids already loving it.Great family fun.Excellent quality and delivery.Would have been 5 star but had very slight damage to corner of board at bottom, hardly noticeable. Inner box was damaged but not outer box so it wasn't couriers fault.Otherwise brilliant.

This was a present for my mother in law,she’d asked for this,she hasn’t stopped playing and she can’t believe the quality of the board and to have the real ha penny’s come with it,she is living with family and has been great entertainment during this lockdown
