I did my research, then decided to give Thorne's a try.
Last time I took my girls - 12 yr old Havanese - to the vet I asked if I should be giving them vitaminsbecause I no longer feed them dog food. After a few rounds of upset tummies from their premium, highest rated everywhere dog food, I discovered the company that had made it had been sold. That previously very high quality dog food was now being made by one of the big dog food manufacturersand mine weren't the only dogs getting sick. Thank goodness people do reviews & post on the internet or Iwouldnt have known this. That was my final straw .I think I hit all their nutritional needs. Although they arewere very healthy, he said it wouldn't be a bad idea and certainly couldn't hurt.Twenty plus yrs ago when my last dog went on vitamins, he was about the same age the girlsare now. At that time, if you wanted good ones, you got them from your vet. He told me that wasn’tnecessary anymore, to just go to Amazon--there were some good ones here. After doing my research,I decided to give Thorne’s a try. They've been on them about 7 mos. and are doing just fine. They're full of energy, bright eyed &bushy tailed. I split one capsule between them every other day in the morning sprinkling it over their food. The girls eat roughly the same things I do and it's easy to cook for them. I'll cook up a big batch of groundturkey and freeze it in 2oz pkgs...easy to pull out and nuke for a minute for their dinner protein or cut bakedchicken breasts into about 2 oz. pieces and freeze individually. Everything is fresh, non-GMO, organic, nopresevatives, additives, etc. I try to keep all of us away from prepared foods. They get a minimum of 1 oz of a protein each at both meals: fresh egg whites in the mornings and -- white fishor salmon, chicken, turkey or beef--occassionally pork chop in the evenings. They also get fresh, organic spinach, blue berries, broccol and organic unsweetened applesauce at every meal. Sometimes I add string beans, peas, a little grated carrot or asparagus-- whatever fruit or vegetable I'm having and what's in season fresh. In the mornings I give them about 1 tsp non > reduced fat cottage cheese and in the evenings 1 rounded tsp -1 tblsp plain, non-fat yogurt. They each get the fish oil out of one my fish oil capsules & I split one of my probiotic capsules between themevery morning sprinkled over their food. Whatever treats they may get, Im very particular about as well.US sourced and made. Mostly they get a piece of dehydrated human grade chicken breast or FruitablesWhole Jerky Bites--Turkey & Sweet Potato or one of the crunchy Fruitables fruit ones apple, cranberry, blueberry or banana. If you cook for your dog(s), the one thing you have to be careful to remember is to use no onion or garlic-- orthe other items toxic to dogs but not us. When I make a pot of stew for example, I set some aside for themthen add onion to the rest and let it simmer a little longer. I do the same thing with my vegetable spaghetti sauce. The sauce is good to add a tblsp over ground turkey for something different for them.Oh.. also in the eveings I sprinkle a little organic, cold pressed extra virgin olive oil over their food. They need some healthy fats for their skin and coats. My girls are maintaining their ideal weight andshow no signs of any health problems. We'll see the vet again in a few months and he'll let me knowfor certain.Since they were neither acting like nor do they look like older dogs, it's hard to tell if the vitaminshave made any difference. These vitamins are my insurance policy just incase I’m missing somethingin their diet.Bottomline… I’d recommend these to anyone who wants to make sure their dogs are getting all thenutrients they need to be vibrant, healthy members of your family.

Working on 16 years
Have a pit bull that will be 15 next month. He was scratching, ears bothering him and noticed he had a little trouble getting on the bed. I read a lot of things but this item was a "catch all" for a dogs well being so I decided to give it a try. His ears don't bother him, he does not scratch all the time, and within the first week of taking, he had a little "spring" in his jump getting on the bed. I have not and do not buy any dog food or treats that has any grains. He's my best friend :) Update 2-4-20. Kings working towards his 16th birthday in May 😁. Truly my best friendKing working towards 16th but

Quite possibly the best tasting supplement my dog has ever had.
Sharing with readers, that the contents of the pill is in "powder" form, inside of a clear, soft-shelled 2-piece cellulose capsule that can be separated by pulling on each end. I didn't quite grasp that when I was first read about the product. I thought these supplements were going to be liquid inside; In the Q&A, I read people's descriptions using terms like "gel" cap, and terms comparing the capsules to fish and flaxseed "oil". When I opened my new container, I could see the capsules contained powder inside, hmmm. My dog swallowed the first one but the following day, I found the next one on the floor. Now I empty the capsule's contents onto my Pet's expensive, single-sourced-protein (dry) dog food, which I thought he would no longer eat as the powder takes my breath away when I first open it over the food but I mix it in a bit and serve. Surprisingly, he eats it all and even licks the bowl clean!; no remaining residue. I'm second guessing if the contents are truly vitamins and supplements or secretly 11 herbs and spices ;)

Works great
I have dogs of different ages and out 9yr old boxer/pit/hound mix was not well treated until we adopted her at 4.5yrs old. All of our dogs eat Wellness Core Wild Game kibble but I’ve noticed little things that seem wrong in all of them. I’ve researched and found that all of the issues are probably related to the fact that the food I’d over backed and the dogs have issues getting the nutrients out of the food. I’ve added a few supplements to help them all - after watching several vets well known for nutrition I’ve narrowed my search and they are all doing well. The old lady though still needed some more help - I take two capsules and empty them onto her food at night and she eats like normal - no issue with any taste or smell. She’s way more energetic, her eyes are brighter and she is very happy.

If you are looking for a serious vitamin for dogs I would recommend you try these. At first I thought they were too expensive but the actually compare to the ones you find at Petsmart etc.my almost 10 year old Golden actually pep up and seems to be more alert.

Happy, Zippy Little Dachshunds!
I started my two little dogs on these vitamins two months ago; I have seen a much improved disposition and energy level in them. I will continue to buy and recommend these to other pet owners.
