Decent System for the Price
I previously had an Oregon Scientific system that still works, so I was looking to upgrade to a system that has wind and rain detectors. My thoughts on this system: Overall for the price it is a good system, fairly accurate and everything worked as it should out of the box. READ THE INSTRUCTION MANUAL! You need to put batteries in all the sensors before starting the base unit. Base unit has hard time finding the sensors if it is energized before the sensors.Good:- Temp sensors and Rain gauge are fairly accurate compared to external sources. Wind direction is accurate, Wind speed appears to be but don't have a standard to compare it to. Base unit is easy to read, and fairly easy to use with a little practice- Max/Min readings have a time stamp, so you know when the Max/Min occuredBad/Annoying:- Customer service is non existent- Humidity lower limit is 25%. I live in the high desert and most days humidity reads "LL" (to be fair, the manual states the lower limit of the detector is 25%)- Wind defaults to "gust" after a few seconds. Cannot leave it on "average"- Instruction manual is so-so. Discussion of how to set altitude to get corrected barometric pressure is poor. Had to do an internet search and follow instructions for different unit, which worked. (You set the altitude, "Alt" will flash until it searches for pressure input, at that point it will stop flashing and the altitude will be set) Picture and instructions to install batteries in anemometer are poor at best. (The bottom unscrews from the top about midway on the unit)- The temp and pressure unit that comes with the system does not have a local temp/humidity readout on the sensor, so it is only useful if the base unit is on and working.

Very cool
Easy set up. Dad in law loves it. Put batteries in the base LAST.

COLOR DISLAY UNSABLE
I bought the same model a few years ago.he model was with black and white display and the colorExcept the wind gauge that stopped after a few months and remained in decorationthe rest worked well until it dead (was my fault the batteries leak)I received the package well packed and with my experience before in 15 minutes everything installedfirst surpriseMy old display was on a low table in the center of the room and the information could be seen only with the batteries in continuous mode for months You can not have a wire crossing the floor !!!the display will only light only using the adaptorsecond suorise the display is so weak that you can see it close to the frontthe information is confusingConclusionthe manufacturer wanted to improve the product but it got worseI'm returning it

not worth the money
I used to have their model WM918 which wasn't a wireless model, but it worked great. When it stopped working I bought a Davis Pro weather station. I bought the Oregon Scientific WMR86NS to have in another area of the house. Compared to the Davis Pro, the Oregon Scientific isn't very accurate, so I would advise anyone who is interested in meteorological sciences, to spend a little more and buy the Davis model weather station.

Some sensors did not function at all.
The wind sensor did not work out of the box, and after Amazon tech support also failed, Amazon sent me an entire new station with all new sensors and a return label for me to send it back.

Good weather station
We’ve had no trouble with this weather station

Fine Weather Station
The display has good graphics. The description and box mentions ultra violet reading. The display does include an ultra violet section but no ultra violet sensor is included in the box.

works great
It was exactly what we wanted. Took a bit to figure out the time zone but everything is working great.
