*Bass option* Easily the best soft case for the money. Probably big enough for almost any electric bass.
This is for the "Bass" option.-I own a full scale boutique style 5 string bass guitar(24 frets, 35" scale), and this case fits it perfect. I would venture to say that there are very few electric basses that would not fit in this case.-Feels tough and well constructed. Has extra layers of padding that make it unusually well padded for a soft case, while still being easier to haul around than a hard case. The extra padding at the bottom is a nice touch.-Has a single zip-up pocket on the front, with a netted pouch inside it. The size is reasonable. It would fit a couple small textbooks, a tuner, etc. Nothing crazy, but good for a soft case. Two reasons for 4 stars instead of 5:-First, the extra padding at the bottom seems to be made of that really soft microfiber stuff. I wish the entire inside of the case was made of that stuff, instead of the nylon. And I'd be willing to pay extra for that.-Second, the shoulder straps seem to be too low. I'm 5'9'', and I have to duck to avoid hitting the top of by bass on doorways. I've tried loosening the straps as far as they'll go, but that creates other problems. IMO the straps ought to have been placed higher on the case, which is a bummer because I was looking forward to being able to backpack my bass around. I still can, of course, but I have to watch out. Not a deal-breaker for me, but worth mentioning. Also this could be a normal problem that I was just not aware of until now.Overall this is a really good case in the realm of soft cases. It raises the bar, while retaining the classic advantages of a soft case(lightweight, takes up less room, etc.) as compared to a hard case.

Good Protection
Gator cases are a terrific buy, but there are some giant differences in their cases; from model to model. I have 3 of the Gator Transit bags for a bass and two guitars and they are terrific bags. This is my first 4G Series bag and it is pretty ordinary. The outer material is fairly robust, but the padding is next-to-zero protection. It doesn't take much of a guitar to compress what passes for padding into a thin film. I realize the Transit bags are more than twice as expensive. So, I'm just trying to warn people who are familiar with the Transit cases that "all Gator bags are not equal." The 4G has a little padding, but not much. The 4G's extra storage is pretty typical for this price case. The lack of a neck-long bag at the keystock is disappointing. That is a good place to add some extra protection for the instrument and a useful place to store a small stuck sack for capos, extra strings, etc. The lower bag is plenty large.

Faulty Zipper
I’d give this no stars if I could...If you decide to buy this case, I recommend that you buy the protection plan with it. This is the second case I purchased in a year. The first one the zipper broke, had it replaced and the zipper broke again on the replacement. It really stinks when you’re sons Fender Jazz bass just falls out of the case from a faulty zipper. I rarely write reviews but fell that since this happened twice in one year it warrants a warning to other prospective customers.

Good case with good padding (PROP 65 WARNING)
Gator GB-4G-ELECTRIC 4G is a good quality electric guitar case with a pretty thick protective padding from all the sides. It can be handy for rehearsals and touring if the guitar in this case would be kept in the car or in the airplane cabin. Although I haven't used this case in a harsh touring mode, it seems to be well built and should last and protect your guitar if not throwing it on the rails, not stomping on it, or not putting it to the airplane luggage. For the airplane luggage or other harsh environments where you guitar could be thrown or falling down you would probably need a tough hard case. This case is good for caring on shoulders or in hand vertically or horizontally, has padding for your back, two handles, big pockets for accessories, thick zipper, interior protective pads in the guitar bridge and headstock area.PLEASE NOTE:- this case has a label with California Proposition 65 warning (contains harmful chemicals) - this is NOT shown in the item description on Amazon, while it should, so beware;- if you have a tremolo bridge on your guitar you would need to unscrew the tremolo handle in order to fit it into the case; if you use the case often this may become very annoying;- this case fits most regular-shaped electric guitars, but I'm not sure about the large extreme shapes (didn't try it for them); it perfectly fits B.C. Rich Villain Veil with 25,5" scale and 24 frets, leaving about one inch of extra space in length. The guitar sits very well inside when the case is closed, no wiggling.Overall it's a good case, but why they use harmful chemicals in materials and not put it in the description? For me it's a concern.

Terrific cases.
The best soft guitar case for the money. Nice and stiff. pocket quite large. Easily fits guitars with backwards-inclined headstocks. I seriously don't use any of my hard cases anymore..Update: I now own two- one for a standard telecaster and one for a standard jazz bass.. and I'm seriously considering buying a third for a Cordoba concert uke.. Both fit their respective instruments excellently, the straps are useful and I use them far more than I thought I would- though they cannot be stowed as in some other cases- but the best aspect of these cases is their stiff build and the cushioning they provide (particularly at the tail).

Sturdy, nice looking... but lacks storage pockets.
This is a nice, thick bag with a smooth but strong zipper. Where this bag lacks is storage pockets. Gator has a great reputation for lasting a long time (I own three Gator bags) but this one should have a separate pocket up toward the headstock and a smaller (overlapped) pocket on the lower bout. Either that, or smaller separate interior pockets on the large (single) lower bout pocket. The one single extra large outer pocket that Gator offers here is a disaster when trying to keep track of your picks, tuner, capos and other small acoustic accessories that are all over the place and hard to dig out of the single big pocket.C'mon Gator... you can do better than this.

Great gig bag
After researching gig bags for a while I took the chance on this one and am very pleased I did. Bag is very well made and feels robust. Zips are high quality and stitching well finished. Bag has just the right amount of padding for my Ibanez RG without being too bulky. Outside zipped pocket swallows up all my gear easily and has handy internal webbing for books/sheet music etc. Shoulder straps and carry handles are well made and comfortable though I think the side carry handle could be an inch shorter. The two external mesh pockets are too small for me to get my hands in so I haven’t found a use for them. Would have liked one more small zipped pocket somewhere for tuner/capo/whammy bar etc but overall I’m very happy with the bag and would buy again and recommend to others

Not for larger guitars.
I bought the dual 2 guitar bag, and it is okay, but instrument protection is reduced to accommodate 2 guitars at this price point. This is an ideal bag for transporting by car with reasonably gentle handling, probably nothing more. I wouldn't transport anything heavy or expensive - like a Les Paul in it. But the downside for me is that the dimensions are somewhat small - my 335 semi-acoustic is just too wide to fit in the bag, which is a pain.

Dial guitar case: Excellent for the price
Sufficiently padded for people with reasonable expectations, it is a soft case and stores two guitars of normal type, PRS, Les Paul, Strat etc. Comfortable and sturdy, I am very happy with it and it was under £50. The pocket on the front is big enough to store a couple of cables and if you are only transporting one guitar you could use the second compartment to store loads of stuff.

A good investment
Brilliant. Fits my daughters concerto uke very well. It isnt too fitted so is easy to drop in without fiddling about. It is early days but everything seems well made.Zip seems fine.Im not sure ill use the plectrum zip thing.Handle is good.Balance seems right.Good pockets.Semi rigid sides give very good protection which hopefully will mean i dont have to shell out for another uke so a good investment i think

RESERVATIONS ABOUT SIZE & PROTECTION
It's OK. The quality is good and I'm sure it will be hard wearing. The pocket is a good size and has as second pocket inside it, which is handy. The shoulder straps are comfortable and the pick minder on the zip is a fun idea. On the face of it a solid, durable gigbag.Obviously this is a casual gigbag and not designed for top level protection, but the thick foam along the side of the inside of the bag is only about 4 inches deep, whereas the body of my standard dreadnought guitars (Guild D25 and an ARIA J45 imitation) are 4 1/2 - 4 3/4 in. deep. So the only thing protecting the edge of the guitars where the top meets the sides is a bit of canvas. This is a shame as it wouldn't have taken much to give that little bit of added protection and peace of mind.In terms of the internal length of the bag, the ARIA (J45 copy) fits fine. But my Guild J25 dreadnought, which also has a standard 14-fret neck doesn't quite fit. It's just under 42 inches long, end to end. In truth, with some physical effort I can squeeze it in there, but I worry about that bit of stress will do to the neck. It's a pity that proper internal measurements were not listed.Given the bulky nature of the item, it would be very expensive to return, so I'm kind of stuck with an OK bag and am hoping I can stretch it a bit so it doesn't put stress on my Guild's neck. It's ironic that it's actually a Guild guitar that's featured in the main product photo with this listing!EDIT: I explained the above to Amazon and they collected the item and refunded the full price, with no additional cost to me, except my time.
