I bought this Philips Hair Dryer 3000 Series and after a days of use I’m really happy with my purchase. Here’s a breakdown of what I like, and a couple of minor points to consider: 👍 What I like • The 2100 W motor gives strong airflow, so my hair dries noticeably faster than with my old dryer. • The “ThermoProtect” attachment is a nice touch — it mixes warm and cool air to reduce heat damage while still drying effectively. • It offers 6 heat/speed settings, which gives really good control whether I’m drying quickly or doing a more careful style. • The “cool air” setting at the end is great for setting the style and reducing frizz. • The nozzle is slim and handy for targeting sections of hair (e.g., when touching up or drying roots). • The cord length (1.8 m) and the storage hook are practical features for everyday use. • Build and design feel solid — it feels like a good upgrade rather than a budget compromise. 👎 Minor considerations • Even though the airflow is strong, the dryer does generate a noticeable level of noise – it’s not silent. • If you have very long or very thick hair, you may still prefer a “salon-level” dryer for ultra-fast drying, but for normal daily use this one is more than adequate. • As with any high-wattage unit, it’s a good idea to take care with heat and use the lower settings when you can, to minimise heat stress on hair. 📝 Overall verdict If you’re looking for a reliable all-round hair dryer that offers good performance, flexibility in settings, and a caring design (with the ThermoProtect feature), then I’d highly recommend this model. For the price, it punches above what you might expect for a “mid-price” everyday hair dryer. I’ve already found it makes my morning routine quicker and leaves my hair looking smoother and less frizzy. Would I buy it again? Absolutely. If you’re upgrading from a basic dryer or want something more “feature-rich” without going into premium luxury prices, this hits the sweet spot.

Fantastic hair dryer, its fairly lightweight and comes with both a nozzle and the diffuser attachments. Good Heat, not super hot and has plenty of airflow. Good Value for Money. Only downside is there is no way of clearing any dust out of the device if it were to build up.

Good Quality

I really like this hair dryer. It has some good features; different heat settings and fast and slow speeds. It also has a useful 'cool' button for setting your style. I only marked it down because it is slightly heavier than I expected and as it is made of a very smooth material, it slips around a bit in my hand. Also, the way the buttons are laid out, I find I catch the speed boost button accidentally quite a bit. The lead could also do with being a little bit longer. However, despite these niggles, it does a great job and I think it's a really good hairdryer.

Wife seems happy with this hair dryer, heat settings and speed good, no difference in noise level to her old one, but not loud, and likes the idea of the thermoshield.

Daughter very happy with this for Xmas - loves that it’s anti heat damage. It feels a lot cooler than my usual hairdryer but still dries quickly. Good value too.
