PATONA Battery BL-42D1F compatible with LG G5, G5 Lite

Approximately 1 year after purchasing this battery it has completely failed. Initially battery life seemed pretty good, but after about 6 months it dropped off quite a bit. At a year on from purchase it would last about 1 hour from a full charge. When I pulled the battery out it was jammed in the phone, eventually after some significant persuasion it did come out but was badly bulging. Luckily it has not damaged the phone.

Being heavy phone users who greatly benefit from having the ability to change batteries throughout the day to avoid being tied to charging points means that replacement phone batteries continue to remain a "must have" option in our household. As the market is not awash with phone options with this feature, we therefore only have a mixture of Galaxy Note 4's and LG G5 phones together with experience of a number of exchangeable batteries. We choose to prolong these existing dated mobile phones by firstly installing custom ROMs (a must to avoid the battery drain issue on the LG G5 models with Stock ROM) and then making the most of the exchangeable battery feature by obtaining good replacement batteries.Having purchased the PATONA Battery BL-42D1F for LG G5 H850 earlier last year, so far it has proved to be a reliable battery that has consistently delivered good results. The battery holds its charge and continues to perform well. For the price, (£16.99) we would say its a little expensive when compared against the replacement battery options of the Galaxy Note 4 but overall would recommend this battery to other LG G5 owners.

The original battery was never brilliant often needing topping up a couple of times per day - the Patona battery lasts the whole day without topping up if using wi-fi for internet, still lasts longer than the old one if not. Took phone on holiday and was only needing to top up in the evening even when taking many photos. Good value replacement.

My old original battery was losing charge fast so I bought this Patona battery for my G5 and just wow I am so happy. I thought it was not possible to get a good replacement battery but I am proven wrong.

After a few months of use, this battery is holding up well although the overall performance has probably dropped off a bit (I get about 3/4 of a day out of a full charge of moderate use) but that's pretty much the same as the rest of the original batteries I have.Overall I'm not sure if the performance warrants the £19 price-tag.

This battery is equal to the oem battery. I tried one of the look a likes on ebay-it was rubbish.This cost 3 times as much but it is a great battery. well worth the extra money.

Was half charged when it arrived charged it fully up it then lasted 26 and a half hours !! The old original 3 year old battery only lasted 8-10 hours depending on usage sometimes alot less ! Alot of fake batterys about for the g5 thats very poor quality but this one is brill so far highly recommend.

Had it since Sunday. Use my phone a lot and this is my 5th battery. Usually buy LG G5 batteries but thought would give this one a try. Can't say I'm impressed at the moment. Battery life doesn't appear much better than the batteries I already have. Disappointed.
