Great unit despite marketing exaggerations.
This review is for the 6 in 1 microwave with steamer. I'm very impressed with it. I would like to clear something up that I keep hearing from other reviews. The confusing air fryer automatic settings. Yes they are confusing and largely pointless. But at least automatic settings are unimportant because. When the air fryer is on it means that the oven and the grill is on full blast with of course thermostat control. So all you have to do is pick the oven and grill combination setting and then choose the time cooking. So you can choose precisely how long you would like to air fry. You don't have to go anywhere near the rather pointless auto programs. I'm personally not a big air fryer user but I can see it is not as an effective as a dedicated air fryer. But on the plus side the grill heats up very quickly once you get used to picking the right height and the right time. It's very handy for quickly or warming up a pasty. There's no temperature control on the grill so it is a bit hit and miss until you get used to it. Also be very careful using the supplied round baking tray. Because when the grill is in use there is a hot spot right at the centre about 2 in in diameter which could actually damage your pan. I would recommend getting a non-stainless round baking tray. The oven is really good but does take its time to warm up and you have to choose 20 or 30° higher than the stated temperature. The giveaway is this oven saying it can go up to 240°that is clearly an exaggeration for an oven of this size and power. Also it takes a good 10 minutes to warm up. You can't beat physics The temperature sensor will heat up fast because it's small but to really heat a whole oven it does take about 10 minutes. Then I would say the oven cooks beautifully very even. The benefit of a turntable really helps with even cooking. Even fan assisted ovens had air fries have dead spots. I toasted a load of peanuts and they came out completely uniformly golden however I initially set the temperature to 170° but the internal thermometer that I put in read about 140° which slowly crept up to about 150°. So if you want 170, you probably best to choose 200°. The microwave is the real key feature, it's such a time-saving device. Where my mum comes around I'm heating two plates. Instead of standing by the microwave worrying about splatters and overheating all the time. The lower power settings really seem to warm a plate through and you don't even need to stir it. The defrost is brilliant. I always used to mess about with putting meat in plastic bags and immersing them in water to defrost because the stand would microwave defrost would always burn the edges. For something really delicate you can go down to 10% microwave power. Standard defrost is 30% The interface is really nice I think it's generic because I've seen it on sharp microwaves. The inverter technology is real because I've tested the power consumption and it drops down with each setting. This microwave gets some criticism for exaggerating, it's air flying ability. I'm not sure about the steam function I don't know if it has a steam sensor which then reduces power. If it does that's an amazing feature but it's not mentioned. The steam tray is basically something you would get off Temu for a couple of pounds. For me the idea of cooking in plastic is not very appealing You can steam really well by just putting veg in a glass container with a centimetre of water at the bottom. I bought it when it was on sale for a bit of a discount which made me feel better about the whole thing. But all in all I absolutely love it.

Great addition to the kitchen, perfect cooking results and easy to use and clean.
I have been using this for a month now. It is the first time I have had a microwave and not felt the need for one previously. I have given in to peer pressure and took the plunge. I wanted to have something more than just a microwave and looked at combination options but then came across the Toshiba which has everything, microwave, grill, convection oven and air frier. I had noticed that people were using the latter (air frier) more so it is great to catch up on the latest trends in cooking. I enjoy cooking a lot and this microwave has been a real game changer. The convection oven heats up so quickly and cooks everything evenly, the food tastes great. The grill is very quick for that sort of thing , again it works so well. The air frier is really nice , food comes out perfectly cooked. It’s not the same design as traditional air friers due to part of the microwave but the results are the same. A big plus for the Toshiba Combination microwave is its turntable, the food rotates so you don’t have to keep interrupting the cooking process. Everything is auto controlled by the cleaver digital menu and sensors in the microwave. It’s extremely easy to clean, you just need to wipe down after use. I’m now I sit back with a G & T and wait for the meal to arrive, perfect results time after time. I would really recommend this machine, it’s a great find. The delivery was reliable, I ordered the microwave and it was with me the next day. The microwave was in a secure box and easy to unpack.

Great product with impressive results for a reasonable price
Does exactly what I hoped it would and more. Works great as a normal microwave, and the power can be properly controlled, which is great for defrosting. The grill works nicely too - you put the food on the provided baking tray and grill rack and it rotates the food under the grill. The convection oven on its own needs a bit of time to heat up, but it works well too. You can also use any of these three main functions all at once, or in any combination. This allows for a huge range of cooking methods, but it can also get a bit confusing. You have to refer to the manual to understand what many of the programs do. Also you have to be careful not to use the baking tray and/or grill racks when the microwave function is enabled as part of the program. Therefore, if you are cooking something like pizza and you use the auto-cook program for that, you need to just use a normal non-metallic plate, which will get very hot during cooking. Having said all that though, you really can get excellent results for most kinds of food with a little practice using this device. There is also a provided plastic steamer tub which you can use to steam food. The "air fry" mode is actually just the convection oven and grill in combination. It is by no means an actual air fryer, but tbh that was pretty obvious to me before I bought it. It can get similar results though. I am very pleased with this purchase and it should be very helpful while my kitchen is renovated and I only have a temporary kitchen to use. It also looks pretty nice and will have its place in the new kitchen. The only downside is that the power cable is very short, but this is a problem with a lot of microwaves.

Perfect for me. Works fantastic. Highly recommend
I absolutely love this!!! It is not an “air fryer” that’s just to get people to buy it as they are very popular right now. But as a microwave it’s perfect and as an oven amazing!! I have made a roast with it and I regularly bake my bread dough in it instead of cooking it as a loaf of bread I prefer to make rolls. I don’t eat that much and found I wasted much. I am disabled in a wheelchair and can not use a normal cooker. This does it all for me and the door opens downwards instead of from the side which is perfect for me and easy for me to take things out and put things in from my Wheelchair. Best thing I have ever bought so far very happy with it highly recommend.

NOT (!) an Air Fryer! (Not very good oven either)
Very good UI, excellent and quiet microwave. Good looking, easy to clean. BUT the REAL temperature in the oven is about 30°C lower than stated. As you can see by yourselves, in one review here, supported with photos that in their device, the oven temperature was 50°C LOWER than set!!!!! And it is NOT just oven. In my case, it is truly the same with grill. I almost food poisoned my teen son with undercooked bacon despite of it was cooked under the grill for double of recommended cooking time. And Air fryer? Portion of French fries should be cooked in 14 minutes in Air Fryer mode and 18 minutes in oven mode, but in THIS oven it took 50 minutes. Same with pre-baked rolls. Heavily marketed Chef Defrost feature is b y my opinion just ordinary defrosting programme which should be used very carefully. In my case the edges of the meat were almost cooked while centre of the meat was still hard. I do not trust and do not use this feature. User's Manual is a TOTAL failure. Half of the booklet is about set up and safety. Other half is just vague guidance to the oven's features. No recipes, or cooking examples. If you want to know how, why and when use available variety of cooking features and their combinations, you must spend extra £9-12 on Toshiba Cooking Book, or £3.20, if you have Kindle Reader in your possession, because the PDF files featured on Amazon website's item description is only an electronical form of that hard copy User's Manual, which comes with oven in the package). All in all one can be quite satisfied with this product, if they would not expect the product description would be true and are happy to put up with prolonged cooking times.

It's a game changer at a great price
Brilliant combination microwave. There are physical buttons that are precise & easy to press. Not those awful touch buttons that are hit & miss. It is compact for such a comprehensive appliance. There is a large handle for opening the door & not those really hard to press buttons. It can take a full size dinner plate. It has an inverter that makes it the quietest microwave I've ever had. The inverter means anything in there is microwaved evenly throughout. The price is amazing compared to the other equivalent brands. The only negative is the programming of the combination settings. You will need to keep the comprehensive user booklet with it forever. Toshiba use non-intuitive symbols for the different programmes. I'm sure they could have used short words for these programmes. However this is a small gripe for such a great appliance. I've stopped using my main kitchen oven now as I'm cooking for 2 of us. I highly recommend this appliance. It's a game changer.

Woeful documentation but quite good at some things
There seem to be a number of different Toshiba microwaves mentioned in the comments threads here so let me clear I am writing about the one with the photo MW3-AC26SFI(MG). It is undoubtedly the weirdest and in some ways worst product I’ve seen from a major manufacturer in years. This is sold as ‘Air Fry Combo 6-in-1 900W Microwave Oven With Steamer’. It comes with a metal dish and two racks of different heights, plus a plastic steamer bowl. There is a short booklet with it which barely fits the description of manual. There are no recipes, no cooking hints, not a clue as to how to cook even a simple thing like a baked potato. What you do get are some ‘auto menus’ (see the pictures) which supposedly automate cooking popular foods, though there’s little indication at what temperature or for how long. The different modes break down to this… -Microwave. You can set the time and the power. -Convection oven. You can set the heat and the time. -Grill. You can set the time but not the heat. -Air fryer. You can only choose the menu presets which give no indication of time or temperature. I did manage to cook chips from fresh in 25 minutes using the frozen chips setting. But trying to cook a lamb chop resulted in spectacular sparking whether I used the high rack or the low one so I’ve really no idea how to use this air fryer function, if indeed it is one, in any meaningful way. -Steamer. No times for the presets but since this is simply the microwave on full you could experiment and make that work. -Defrost. Works well. The microwave and convection oven seem very good and should save energy for things like lasagne and pies over turning on the big oven. The grill I haven’t work out and the steamer I’ve yet to use. There’s also something called Crispy Grill which is unexplained as is another function described as Speedy Cooking. One baffling thing is that this model appears nowhere on the website of Toshiba Lifestyle UK so I can only wonder if this is an international model being dumped on Amazon or something. As I said earlier, I’m amazed a huge company like Toshiba is putting out something either so little information (though the back of the booklet does boast #Details Matter 😂) As a microwave, convection oven and defroster this works well, but it’s a lot of money just for those three. I don't expect a combo microwave to be great as an air fryer but it's hard to regard this thing as a usable air fryer at all. I raised these issues in an email to the customer service address given for Toshiba. I didn’t get the courtesy of a reply.

Airfry 6-in-1 & Steamer
I bought this because now that I am living alone, I felt that it made sense to have a smaller convection oven and grill to use as an alternative to the bigger ovens on the traditional cooker. Appearance: It looks good, in my opinion. The dark grey colour means it is less obtrusive than my old microwave oven, which was finished in white. The control panel is uncluttered and uncomplicated. Microwave: it is a simple to use and effective microwave oven, and noticeably quieter than my old oven, which to be fair was over 10 years old. I have tried one auto menu - to cook pasta. The result was perfectly cooked with a lightly al dente finish. Convection oven: I've used this so far for cooking meals such as breaded fish, chicken, pies, etc. It seems best to use the time/temperature for a non-fan oven. It seems likely that given the short time to reach temperature and the smaller space (compared with a traditional cooker oven) in use that it should be more energy-efficient but it's too early to quantify at this point. I'm happy with the results either way. I have tried baking a cake, and felt that it needed either more time or a higher temperature (or both) as the result seemed slightly underbaked. Trial and error should resolve this. Grill/Air-fryer: I have yet to use these options, other than to add a little bit of colour/crispiness to the top of something I cooked by convection. As others have said, the Air-fryer auto menus seem a bit limited. Steaming - I've yet to try this out. Arguably it's less a function of the oven and more one of the supplied steaming dish. Overall I'm happy with this product and would recommend it.
