This sliding door security bar is truly easy to set up and use. The instructions are clear and user friendly. We have a wooden bar we wrapped in tape to "look" more attractive but this is such an upgrade for not only looks more attractive but can trust will keep our family safe. Best part is can be placed at any height of the door - no more leaning over at night or in the morning! We placed ours midway which is so convenient to take in/out each day. Even has a locking pin if choose to use. We tried opening our sliding glass door from inside and outside with this installed for claims to hold 400 lbs of pressure and no matter how hard we tried it didn't budge or give way. Excellent product! Would give beyond 5 stars if I could!

This is SO much better than a dowel rod! This security pole came with very good instructions, it comes with 3 pole parts, the main one that does the extension and then a small and a long pole that allows it to do large window/doors or small ones. As you can see by my photos we are using it in a 6 foot slider window. We like having a window cracked open at night to get cool air in the house but don't like leaving it unlocked. With this pole we can leave it about 6 inches open and feel pretty secure. This is heavy construction, works well, comes with a pin lock to provide more strength than just a push button would give. The instructions were very good, easy to follow and it took me maybe 5 minutes to have this assembled and in place.

The sliding door security bar is an excellent security solution. I like that the security bar is easy to use and works well. The bar is sturdy and secure. It also works as a great device to hold the window up to let in fresh air.

High quality sliding door or window lock! Feels heavy and sturdy.It comes with 2 extender pieces which I didn't need since the gap I needed to fill is 18 inches. You can spin the end piece to get a good resistance against the door so now I don't have to lean over. I can stick it in the middle near eye level now.
