Excellent quality, perfect replacement, Works perfectly. Even the tip that comes with it is good. You should calibrate your station for the new handle / element combination. If you don't have a tip calibrator, if you turn the temperature all the way down to 392 on the base station, adjust the calibration control on the base station so that 60/37 solder just melts when you touch it to the tip and it will be close.

I have an old soldering station for electronic work. The old soldering iron was broken internally probably by dropping it. I was almost surprised when an exact duplicate was available, in a day when everything new seems to have a computer chip, even when the old one worked fine. It was plug and play. I hooked it up, and it worked fine with my old unit.

Yea I had a great HAKK0 936 that I used everyday from 2009 till now, even had it's original station iron handle. I thought I would buy a spare, well plugged it in to test it shorted out everything, the based unit popped and smoked as soon as I turned it on. Chalk it to china junk and I do mean junk. Now I have to buy a whole new unit.

Needed to replace my old one so I thought I would try this brand. Heats up well functions as it. The only problem is that the cable is about a foot shorter than my original. Other than that, good to go.

Looked, worked just like my original one.
