Just buy it, your truck will thank you
I have a 2006 F250 6.0L Lariat with 131k miles on it. I am not one to abuse equipment, however, I do live on a gravel road about four miles from asphalt. Being that it's a moderately heavy truck that travels down washboard and potholes all four seasons, my suspension has worn out. I recently ordered a set of Bilstein 5100 series shocks to replace the Ranchos, which I'm not overly fond of. I bought the matching steering stabilizer on a whim, I might as well change that out since I'm replacing all four shocks. Man, what a difference. The steering stabilizer is significantly beefier than the stock shock, which is closer in resemblance to something you'd find on a screen door. Well worth the $90ish. If you're disappointed with this product, then you either got a defective piece or you didn't need to replace it in the first place.

Bilstein Perfection as Usual
I wrapped my 2005 Superduty with Bilstein shocks last year. I decided to check my factory steering stabilizer and sure enough, it was completely worn out. I did a little digging to find the exact fit for my truck and this fit absolutely perfectly. I noticed immediate steering response. Things feel much better and tighter. I also run a dual stabilizer kit from another brand and I know those shocks are probably worn out as well but will be adding the Bilstein's into that setup tomorrow. I'm a Bilstein fan for life. Not to mention they send some pretty sweet stickers with each order!

Perfect fit on 2005 F250 SD
Part functions much better than OE unit with 100k on it. Removal of original was the hardest part, part works great and install was straightforward.

Great!
I have installed Bilstein on a few trucks now, this is my first steering stabalizer. It did not mount on the exsisting adapter that ford has, you have to drive it out and install the shock directly to the steering bar, but it seems to work just fine.

OMG, Unbelievable - ORDER THIS NOW!!!
MY truck is an 06' with 54000 miles and I was reluctant to mess with it because of the low mileage. After installing all 4 Bilstein shocks, I was so pleased I figured this couldn't hurt. The difference is amazing! First of all, the factory unit exploded when I compressed it but hand after removal. Not sure if thats a bad thing, but it can't be good. The new unit made the truck feel totally different. With such low miles, I thought it was fine and already felt like a new truck...was I wrong. This feels like driving a new sedan not a truck. This is one of those upgrades that makes a tremendous difference and clearly point out there is a design issue with the factory part.Installation took about an 1-1/2 hour. Never took the tires off or truck off the ground. Didn't use air tools and just needed wrenches and sockets.

Easiest Part to Replace on the front end, and made a huge Difference.
I bought a 2006 F-350 4X4 with 232,000 miles on it and what I believe was the original steering dampener. This truck gets bad death wobble and I realize I have a lot of front end work ahead of me, but putting this dampener made the truck a lot more enjoyable to drive in the meantime. The steering wheel used to wobble back and forth when stopping hard and this has completely eliminated that. I believe once I have replaced all the wear items on the front it will be a lot better truck, but I really was impressed at the difference this little easy to replace part made. All the other parts on the front end use huge (30mm, etc.) metric bolts that take tons of torque to break loose and tighten, this was no harder than replacing a shock and the largest size bolt was a19mm.

Great unit
2005 F-350 4x4335,000 miles, complete new front end done about 6 months ago, was still a little loose feeling, I know I need to do the steering gear but have not had time yet. It’s next. With that said, this unit made a huge difference in solid feel, was worried after reading about the unit having positive charge and creating the pull or push to the left. It simply does not exist, tracks straight as an arrow down the road with no input, no pull, no push. Recommend highly.

Awesome Product
Shipped and in my hands less than 24hrs. Took 15min to put in just basic tools. Product is heavier and beefier than the Monroe one I removed. Build quality seems top notch. Improved bump steer immensely on my F250 111k miles.
