Loud, not very good, but my nephew likes it anyway.
The aim of this game is to bash little aliens on the head as they pop up and down in their craters. The aliens have, for want of a better word, nipples, on top of their heads. They might not be nipples, they are after all aliens so they could be some kind of extra sensory organ or genitalia for all I know, but I'm going to call them nipples. If you time it just right and if your hammer is perfectly aligned you can whack an alien nipple head and it will stick to a hole in the end of the hammer - you successfully caught one. This isn't easy to do, especially if its your 3'rd birthday as in the case of my nephew.I thought that this would be a game of reflexes, wait for one to pop up, give it a swift bash, win a point. In reality they are all constantly moving and the only way to successfully capture one of the blighters is to repeatedly whack the same crater until your chosen victim very unwisely raises his nipple up far enough to be impaled on the hammer. My nephew, who has excellent reflexes, couldn't manage to capture any aliens the way the game is intended to work. Having said that, he is enjoying playing with it - it has hammers, it has aliens, he is encouraged to bash them, its a winning combination. When you turn on the game, the first thing you notice is IT IS VERY LOUD. No exciting beeping or "A human just hit my extra sensory organ with a hammer!" screams of alien pain type noises, just a brain scrambling mechanical rattle as all the little aliens are jolted up and down. The game loses 1 star because of the noise, 1 star for being too hard, and really only deserves 2 stars because it should be so much better, but gets 3 stars because my nephew enjoyed playing with it regardless. For anyone concerned about the hammers, the rubber ends are soft and won't hurt when they are inevitably turned on human victims.

Not great
Brought it for my 2.5 year old. The battery compartment doesn’t close so I’ve had to put duct tape around it so it’s a bit unsightly and dangerous! She also finds it a little difficult to pick them up.. maybe she’s too young?

Would be better if just a bit older
Bought for a 2 yr old. Would be better if just a bit older, say 3. Can't knock it though, suffers plenty of bashing but remains intact. Yes, very good buy.
