Incredible battery, wouldn't use anything else. Powers like a champ, perfect IO
Extremely reliable well-made product. I love this so much. It's the backbone of my Cinema rig, and I haven't looked back. It's pretty small, though it's not very light, but not to the point where it's too heavy, and it's pretty light for the power it can produce. I run a Lumix S5IIX recording through a Blackmagic video assist 12g 5 in. Pulling about 15 w I'd think, and this battery pushes about 4 hours. It's IO is perfect, truly perfect. My S5IIX with a dummy battery wants 8 volt DC, and the video assist wants 12 volt DC. Guess exactly what this battery has, alongside USB A and USB C? I'm very happy with this, and it's a great deal. It's very sturdy, and seems to hold the charge for a long time in standby too. Very easy to use, very well built. The information display is indispensable and slightly configurable depending on what information you want to see. I have it set to show me wattage usage and time remaining, though you can also switch it to a different page that shows voltage I think

Powerful and Versatile, Yet Heavy and Pricey
The SMALLRIG VB155 V Mount Battery offers robust performance with its 155Wh/10500mAh capacity, making it an excellent choice for long shooting days. I found it reliably powers my gear, including cameras, lights, and monitors, without any interruptions. The PD 65W USB-C port is a particularly useful feature, allowing for quick charging of devices like smartphones and laptops, which is a great addition for a modern videographer's toolkit. Design and Build Quality: This battery is solidly built, with a durable casing that withstands the rigors of field work. However, it is notably heavier than some other models I've used, which can be a drawback when trying to keep my camera setup light, especially on handheld rigs. Usability: The V-mount locks securely to compatible devices and has a reliable hold. I appreciated the clear display that shows remaining charge, which is crucial during shoots. However, the weight of the battery does add a significant load to my equipment, which might not be ideal for all users. Price Point: While the SMALLRIG VB155 is packed with features, its price point is on the higher side compared to competitors. Potential buyers should consider whether the additional cost is justified by their specific needs and usage patterns. Conclusion: The SMALLRIG VB155 V Mount Battery is a powerhouse that can be a game-changer for professional videographers who need reliable, extended power supply on the go. However, its weight and cost might not appeal to everyone, especially those looking for a more portable or budget-friendly option. I recommend it for those who need its high capacity and robust build, but suggest others might look at lighter alternatives.

Very good but more expensive than some competitors
This was my first V-Mount battery and I found it very useful. It powers my Blackmagic cameras using a D-tap to Lemo cable. It powers my Sony camera and Atomos Ninja 5 monitor using the USB-C port and the 12v DC port. The USB-C port seems to follow the PD spec and negotiate the voltage required by the client device.

Awesome battery life
This VB99 is a game changer on long shoots or multiple shoots. It’s hardy but worth it. I built a nice cage to include it with some other Smallrig gear

Great power delivery for the cost and size
I've used a lot of v-mount batteries over the years and this is the best by far. It has a number of charging options. The price was a great value. It seems really well made and is light while delivering a ton of power for my setup. The only reason I gave it 4 stars vs 5 is the d-tap port is looser than other batteries I have and I have a slight fear it might get knocked out in a run and gun situation. I'll tape it to be sure it stays in, but it's a minor issue for an otherwise great battery.

Excellent battery, even better if it's on sale
I normally shoot on sticks and use my cameras battery. I always see these large rigs. I have been slowly building out a rig and I didn't realize how much I needed this. This thing lasts! I'm shooting a few hours at a time and it just lasts. No need to swap batteries. It's a great battery and I'm glad I got it. It was on sale when I got it so that's a bonus. I not that much of a brand snob so I can't say what's better between this and like Newner but I do like the smallrig stuff.

Tough Battery!
Great 99W battery! Charges fast and powers my small rig (Sigma FP with Atomos Ninja) for multiple days at a time. The USB voltage information comes in handy. I wish it was possible to turn off the D-tap terminal along with the USB terminals. I leave the camera plugged in all the time and the battery drains about 2% each day. Also wish it came with a BP cover, hate to see those terminals exposed and subjected to humidity and the salt air while sailing and filming for our YoutTube channel. I'll be looking into a V-Mount plate with BP connection and an off button in the near future. Have to say, one outstanding feature is just how durable this battery is. It survived an accidental drop of over 4' (1.2M) with only a small dent in the corner. All internal welds held perfectly. Pleasant surprise! Highly recommended at the current price point.

Perfect Battery – Reliable and Well Designed
This is another excellent product from SmallRig. The VB99 SE is compact, looks great, and works flawlessly. Plenty of output options with USB-C, D-Tap, USB-A, and DC ports, plus the OLED screen is super handy for monitoring power levels. Charges quickly and delivers consistent performance. SmallRig always makes quality gear, and this battery is no exception — reliable and well built. Plus great with my R5C Canon Camera.

Compact, reliable and ideal for powering a cinema camera rig
I bought two of these to power my Sony FX30, and they've completely changed the way I work. Moving from internal batteries to a V-mount system means I can shoot for much longer without constantly thinking about battery life or carrying a pocket full of spare NP-FZ100 batteries. One of the biggest strengths is the size. They're compact enough that they don't make the rig feel overly bulky, yet they still provide plenty of runtime for a day's filming. Mounted on the back of my rig, they also help improve the overall balance when using heavier cine lenses. The selection of outputs makes them extremely versatile. I'm able to power my camera through a dummy battery while also supplying power to other accessories from the same battery, reducing the number of separate batteries I need to keep charged. Charging over USB-C PD is another feature I've really appreciated. It means I can recharge the batteries without carrying a dedicated V-mount charger, which is particularly convenient when travelling or working away from home. They've also become part of my travel kit. Because they're 99Wh, they're within the battery capacity limit accepted by most airlines for carry-on luggage, so I can take them with me when flying. As well as powering my camera, I've used them as large-capacity USB-C power banks to charge my MacBook Pro, phone and other devices while travelling. That versatility has made them useful even when I'm not filming. My FX30 setup includes a SmallRig HawkLock cage, Portkeys LH5C monitor, DJI Focus Pro follow focus and Fujinon MK18-55 and MK50-135 T2.9 cine zooms. These batteries have become the heart of that system, providing dependable power across multiple shoots without any unexpected issues. The build quality is excellent, as I've come to expect from SmallRig. They feel robust, the ports are secure, and everything has worked flawlessly since I bought them. If you're looking for a compact V-mount battery for a mirrorless or cinema-style camera rig, these are an excellent choice. They've simplified my entire power setup, double as excellent travel power banks, and have proven to be one of the most worthwhile upgrades I've made.
