Brooklyn Biltong Classic Grass Fed Beef Steak Slices, Keto, 2 oz, Pack of 8

I have histamine intolerance and terrible food sensitivities. I also love jerky (beef, bison, turkey, elk, and so on). Unfortunately, most jerky on the market is saturated in soy sauce and black pepper (both high histamine), is made from OLD meat (higher histamine!), and has a large number of ingredients (many of which are high histamine and/or a food sensitivity); I can have a running nose immediately and heartburn quickly that lasts hours after consuming. Dear god, have I tried most of the pastured and organic jerky out there! If I was in better health, I would certainly try to make my own, but, FINALLY, here's Brooklyn Biltong's "Naked"-- high quality beef, great flavor, and only 3 ingredients! I had ZERO histamine issues and ZERO heartburn. Considering I'm on the carnivore diet per doctor and nutritionist's recommendation for GI tract healing, I need more than what I can cook, and snacks to take with me... look no more! My three "cons" with "Naked" biltong, which may or may not be how it is for all flavors, are that it is moderately greasy, a bit stringy and hard to chew for some pieces, and the individual pieces are pretty small (there's a lot in each bag, though!). It's just not the easiest casual snack when you're out and about. Having a napkin handy and knowing where you can wash your hands is probably ideal... Ultimately, I appreciate everything about this product and I find the pure flavor to be so pleasant after years of over-seasoned jerky. I've finally found my snack staple! The only thing that could make it better... a little more for a little less $$, but that's not the way food is trending.

I was surprised at this product. The pics in sale of the item showed people holding these big pieces of meat. My pkg was full of crumbs as shown in my pic . The advert for this product was fraudulent. The biggest piece I had was less than an inch wide. The taste wasn’t great either… almost rancid

Don’t let it sit around. This stuff goes bad fast but is delicious when fresh I ordered 4 bags and 1 of them came rancid so definitely some QC issues. Brooklyn Biltong has to look out for this because refunds for rotten product might affect the bottom line if this continues. The sell by date on my rotten package was in 2026 and I ordered it April 2025. You will know right away because it will feel kinda slimey and smell super sour. Thankfully Amazon gave me a full refund for both bags BUT other reviews say that Brooklyn Biltong the actual company won’t refund for rotten meat so if you buy this on Amazon, open it up right away and store it in the freezer if you have to. I might try to air fry or dehydrate them further for longer term storage.

Got this for my husband, he loves this brand and recommends every time. Thin cut jerky with milk flavor. The salt and vinegar flavor is a top pick for him as well.

A little overpriced. You get jerky shavings weighed down with, instead of sugar, apple vinegar. Good, but not impressed, moving on.

It’s my first time buying from this company and the flavors seemed intriguing as well as the clean ingredients, I saw others talk about the chewiness or the amount given and thought that maybe idk it was “just them”, I was wrong. As you can see in the picture I just opened the bag and the slices given are so mediocre and falling apart as if its the bottom of a chip bag, I gave it at least two stars since the flavor is pretty good but it’s insanely CHEWY. I kept trying pieces thinking that maybe it was just the piece I grabbed but all of them are so chewy to the point it turns into a gum from me chewing it. I feel so upset and disappointed honestly. Hope that if you decide to buy it you get a better experience.

This product is great! I have been looking for "beef jerky" like this for a long while. A co-worker of mine gave me some while we were traveling so I knew it was good before ordering. As a favor to those who are shopping... Ensure this is the type of product you are actually looking for. If you expect that this is going to taste like beef jerky you get at a drugstore, gas station, grocery store or even Whole Foods, you are likely to be disappointed. If you want beef jerky that is sweet and has a texture unlike meat, you are likely to be disappointed. If you want high-protein FOOD that has minimum ingredients and no unneeded ingredients such as sugars and preservatives, this may be what you are looking for. If you are not interested in eating sweat, oddly soft-textured beef jerky, this may be for you. (I'm the guy that asks, "Why does beef jerky have 8 grams of sugar per serving!!??") From reading the bad reviews on here, most are from people who didn't seem to understand what they were ordering. This is a great snack for biking, hiking, traveling, etc. The individual serving packs I got were exactly what I was looking for. (32 grams of protein in a pack--no sugar at all.) The expiration date on the packs I received is 10 months from when I received the product.👍🏼
