UPDATE: Originally I gave these headphones a glowing review. It’s now 14-15 months later and they are starting to fall apart. I can offer just my word for it however, I have to say they are treated with respect and not chucked around. When I’m finished using them, they sit on a stand beside my ‘listening’ chair. The main culprit is a weak spot I have detected at the base of the left hand (and probably the right hand too over time) side where the band meets the Y-shaped bracket and swivel joint. A crack has appeared which I noticed as the headphones were no longer sitting comfortably and seems to be pushing out at that side. Unfortunately they are just out of warranty so I guess I’ll have to resort to a bit of superglue until I can find another set of decent headphones. Pity Avantree – I thought you had it nailed!PREVIOUS REVIEW BELOWI bought and returned two sets of Sennheiser headphones which were both (a) defective and (b) both cost more than double the price of these headphones. Not expecting too much, I bought these instead. Boy what a pleasant surprise. These are everything the Sennheisers were not.They are light and so comfortable (I forget I'm wearing them and tend to walk around the house with them on). The Sennheisers were like wearing a vise on my head and also made my ears so hot.The sound on the Avantree headphones is as good as previous Sennheisers I have used in the past (when their name meant something).Although they are wireless, they can also be plugged in. The cable that came with them had no issues (both of the Sennheiser cables were microphonic and made a loud scuffling noise through the headphones when you touched or moved them - not good when you have inline volume controls - the main reason I sent them back).The aesthetics of the design is comparable to Sennheisers – and maybe even a little better although this is subjective.My only issue was that the volume controls on the headphones become inactive when the headphones are used in cable mode rather than wireless. I solved this by purchasing a third party headphones cable with inline controls which works beautifully giving me this extra functionality. Its just a pity the manufacturer didn't think to include a cable with the headphones that would allow this. I would have happily paid a bit extra for this (actually I did but just not to them).This cable issue aside, I cannot say enough just how good these headphones are and must give them a full 5 stars. Good work Avantree please keep it up.

At this price it seems churlish to nit pick as the sound is about as good as it gets for the money....BUT.... If you listen to high end audio & own a few grands worth of hifi you may find the bass a little over cooked to the point of looseness & flabbiness, the midrange a little distant, foggy & lacking detail & crispness & the top end restrained & soft. In fact the overall sound can be summed up as warm, soft & comfortable but lacking in excitement.That said, anyone looking to pass the time while travelling on public transport or walking the dog these may be what you're looking for.

- for the price it's a fantastic set of over the ear headphones- connectivity via bluetooth to my phone and all of my laptops are instant (following the steps in the instruction booklet made this much easier)- The sound quality is okay for me (although I'm not too fussy or knowledgeable about this)- padding at the top of the headband is adequate- main con is the microphone. tried to use it for phone calls, video conferences, ect but everyone has said I sound very distant from the microphone, possibly due to the fact it's located under the left ear cup. Not great since I need to call on a daily basis but still usable for quick personal calls.

An ok set of earphones I’d say, noise quality for me was a little poor but clear enough for listening to tv but connection on Bluetooth could be a little faster as my other headphones. The ear cups could also be a little tight causing slight uncomfort Other than that an ok pair of headphones.

I have only had the headphones for a couple of days, but so far they have impressed me. I found it really easy to connect the headphones to my Laptop and phone. The sound quality is so much better then I was expecting. These really are top quality headphones for the price, and I would recommend them to anybody. I sent an email to the seller asking them a question and they sent me a message back the next day.It takes around 2.5 hours to charge the headphones using the USB port on the Laptop, but you can plug the supplied micro USB cable into a compatible 5V/500mA-2A USB charger. I used my phones charger to charge the headphones and it took only 45 minuets. The battery lasts a really long time.

Pretty comfy and long battery life.The sound quality doesn’t suit me however.Muffled is how I would describe it.The Sony ones they replaced were better but not as comfy to wear.In fact I hardly use them.

I had to contact the manufacturer as, after a year of regular use, a crack developed in the headband. They quickly sent me a replacement, with no hassell. Very impressed and I'd definitely buy this brand again. (Note only three stars for noise cancellation, as this isn't a feature of these headphones, but they still give reasonable noise isolation.)
