Does wat it needs to.
Love this easy to cvlean filters works on line with our multifuel burner as doesn't draw the air out of the room. Fitted differently to instructions for our personal choice. But if a silly design with black metal cover but converted to suit. Would buy again for same price

Good VFM
I bought this as interim, our old Bosch extractor bit the dust after 24 years and we are planning a new kitchen next year. In the mean time we needed an extractor because it is winter and we can't have the windows open. Overall, for what I paid for it I am more than happy. Yes the switches are cluncky and the LED lights aren't super bright but it does the job of steam extraction very well indeed. Things to note. The output ducting for this is 150mm with a minimum of 120mm. I too, hooked it into the existing100mm ducting. The result is on levels 2 and 3 it makes a heck of a racket and I suspect its not doing the motor any good. On level 1 it is fine, there is a whine but conversations can be had. Installation is relatively straight forward; the instruction booklet is easy to follow, and if you can drill holes that are level and can measure accurately then you will be OK. I can't so it was a bit of a faff. Overall for the price and performance I Recommend it. One last thing, all extractors are noisy unless are paying much, much more than this one costs

Adequate - But That’s All. And Loud!
This looks like a very nice cooker hood and comes from the usually reliable Russell Hobbs range. It wasn’t too difficult to install but I had to buy an adapter to integrate the 150mm ducting with the pre-existing 100mm ducting already in the wall. Once installed, the cooker hood is loud. How loud? Well I don’t have a dB meter but it’s louder than you would like and that’s on the lowest of three power settings. We use it on the lowest setting only, which to be fair is adequate for our needs, clearing steam etc, but I wouldn’t want to use it at a higher setting for any length of time as you would have to raise your voice during general conversation when standing using the cooker hob with the hood on. The next problem is that the LED lights integrated into the hood are very poor. I have decent bright down-lights in my kitchen roof, however the smoked glass canopy of the cooker hood provides enough shade that we need to use the cooker hood lights. They are NOT bright at all! I thought I’d just replace the bulbs with something brighter, but the bulb is part of the whole individual light unit and I’m told you can only buy similar replacements from Russell Hobbs. I’m scouring the internet to see if I can source an alternative light fitting that I can use but to be honest, we might just take the hit and replace the whole cooker hood because we’d still have the issue of the noise level. One of the down sides of buying from the internet and not looking at a product in an electrical shop/showroom I suppose. There must be better cooker hoods out there...

Great all-round cooker hood for the price.
Great contemporary look. Now up and running for nearly 2 months; works well and was the only cooker hood I could find that ticked most of boxes for our kitchen refit, ie the design, efficiency (C), colour, noise (67db) and price. Like the fact it can be installed and vented to the outside or inside using carbon filters, or both! Only downside would be the 'clunkiness' when switching between the fan speed buttons. Other than that, very happy with the purchase and would recommend.
