If you can reach your back then yes, you can apply cream to your butt. This one is short but I can reach my whole back. If you have a very large ...tt then I would get one with a longer handle.

Yes, you can use body oil. I use baby oil, lotion, ointment whatever you need to for those hard to reach areas.

Q: Would this work for applying body/talc powder?

It should work okay for powder. The sponge applicator would not hold much powder but would be good to smooth on skin
