Q: Does the Redragon K596 Vishnu have hot swappable switches?

Yes - only swappable with other outemu switches

Q: The k596 vishnu model doesn't have the rec button to program the macros, the webpage also doesn't have that model listed. anyone know how to set them?

Ok to you hold fn and click the g1 or whatever your trying to set then it records it once you have it set I believe it’s fn and the g button your setting to reset it you have to restore default on the keyboard

The backlit can be changed by on board keys combo FN + INS to PGDN and also editable by software.

Q: I downloaded the software and it installs fine, but it won't let me open it for some reason? When I click to run it, it doesn't pop up.

You may need to run the program as an administrator. In Windows, right click on the app to open an options menu, then left click on Run as an Administrator. You will be prompted to allow the app to run with administrative privileges. Click on allow. I use heightened security settings on myWindows 10 Pro which won't allow apps to modify any internal or external components without my explicit approval
